The staff couldn’t have been any nicer. The girls at reception desk were so accommodating and obliging throughout our stay. We arrived early to the hotel and the lady (never got her name!) let us check into our room 2 hours early. Later on that evening she wrote down a list of restaurants and specific areas that we she recommended for us to try which was a really nice touch. On our final night we spoke to the manager of the hotel who was also really chatty and helpful. Breakfast was so nice and plentiful. Pool was beautiful and clean. Cute, little cafe/bar beside the pool that is perfect for some poolside snacks, or an evening drink. The barman here was such a gentleman, so accommodating and friendly. Great location, walking distance to numerous restaurants. Spoilt for choice with beaches, stone beach just outside the hotel that is the perfect place to relax. The hotel itself is so beautiful, a restored building which is full of character and tastefulness. We were sad to leave Hotel Universal and could not recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a slow, relaxed, change of pace. The price is such good value also.

Where to start, it was a lucky find. Rosignano is a seafront location 35 minutes away from Pisa train station by train. Great location if you are tired of typical English tourist spots. The area is full of AUTHENTIC restaurants, little shops, cafes, and gelato places where people were queuing to get in even at 11 p.m. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the train station, 10 minutes walk from the public beach, and 10 minutes walk from the supermarket. Hotel rooms are cleaned every day to a high standard, staff is polite, rooms are lovely, and air conditioning kicks in prior to your arrival! It's a quiet accommodation with no kids or loud party people—a couple's dream. Breakfast is fresh and typical Italian (no Full English Breakfast, because you are in Italy!). Vegetables are organic from their vegetable garden; it makes all the difference. Delicious pastries and fresh fruit, real coffee from the espresso machine (cappuccino, espresso, or Americano) just ask. It's a family business, and Ionela is there ready to help 99% of the time! I even forgot my external hard drive in our room, and Ionela posted it to my desired address without any fuss. All that's left to say is a big Thank You! to everyone at Hotel Rosignano Solvay for a perfect holiday. Andrea and Nick
