Apartment was very clean and convenient, breakfest - excellent. Easy comunication with all, despite that someone from family speaks only Italien, speciall thank You for Valentina! Definitely recommend this place!

Grand Hotel Salsomaggiore is an incredible place—set in an equally incredible town. The location is perfect: a short stroll through the park to a cluster of excellent restaurants. Don’t forget to book the SPA in advance; access is limited, which keeps it uncrowded and relaxing. The spa itself isn’t large, but it has everything you need: cold plunge/ice, hot pools, a hammam, two saunas, and a tropical shower. Hotel managers and the front desk team are outstanding—proactive, kind, and ready to solve any problem. Breakfast is superb. If you don’t see something on the buffet, just ask—they’ll happily prepare what’s missing or make the drink you’re craving.

Everything was delightful. We booked the hotel for one night, but decided to stay at the hotel for three nights. During check-in, we were offered the option to choose another room with balcony. Comfortable room with a large double bed. Quality bed linens with good pillows and blankets. The mornings were so pleasant that it was hard to get up; the sleep was excellent. Breakfasts were in Italian style, but the hotel owner always offered the freshest homemade pastries, especially the magnificent Napoleon cake. We also ordered dinners, which were very tasty. Additionally, there is a cozy backyard garden where one can enjoy a cup of coffee or a delicious meal. The hotel is conveniently located - 5 minutes walk to the central thermal baths and 4 minutes to the train station. There's a free parking space right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient if you travel by car. There's a grocery store nearby with a good assortment. The hotel staff was attentive and always responded promptly to guests' requests. The city, combined with the homely atmosphere of the hotel, will remain in memory for a long time, making it a place one would want to return to.

A stunning and charming medieval village.

A stunning and charming medieval village. A true journey back in time. We were able to eat in the castle tavern, just 50 meters away. Access is via a very narrow road, so caution is advised. If you have time, you can visit the wine cellars of the surrounding vineyards.

The castle is beautiful, and the village of Vigoleno is fantastic. Very romantic. The information provided to guests before arrival and during check-in could be improved. The rooms need to be nice and warm during the colder months. I think it's enchanting in spring and summer.

We stayed at the castle hotel, a wonderful experience, the lady was very kind and helpful, the village was beautiful, for dinner since the restaurant was not open we had dinner just outside the walls, however, a beautiful place, I recommend it

The village, like the castle, with its guest area, is a little gem nestled in the Piacenza hills. There are excellent dining options available, so there's no problem. Dinner at the restaurant facing the walls is a must. The village is so small that you won't need to use your car, as you can park in one of the available parking lots. Nothing negative to report.

This hotel, as part of a castle off the beaten path is a romantic unique experience. I have taken guests there more than once. Love the VIBE. On this trip, we were the only guests and we felt like royalty! Though the dining room was closed, Reservations at the Castle tavern were made for us at our preferred hour of dining. Earlier than normal in Italy. The breakfast was a fabulous spread! i highly recommend this very charming spot.

At first it was hard to find as the hotel is INSIDE the Castle and ths signs say "no vehicles". A phone call solved this and we were able to drive-in to unlioad baggage. WOW, what a place, a real castle. I will go again as it is aspecial place. Breakfast was very good for Italy. Parking nearby.

the experience of staying in a hotel is fantastic, especially for a history lover. we chose an apartment with two bedrooms and a livingroom, where we enjoyed all the comfort of a 4 star hotel. everything very well maintained, clean, with large and spacious rooms
