Absolutely magical! Il Melograno in Costa d’Amalfi is an unforgettable romantic experience. The location is simply breathtaking – perched on the hillside among lemon trees with a panorama that is even more spectacular in person than any picture could convey. From the moment we arrived, the hosts and staff welcomed us with such warmth and heartfelt hospitality that we immediately felt at home. They were incredibly kind and helpful in every way. We traveled with our two-year-old daughter and a baby cot was kindly provided. We stayed in the suite with a private whirlpool, which was spotless and beautifully decorated – the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. We were greeted by a breathtaking sunrise that felt like being gently kissed awake – a truly magical start to the day. The grounds are beautifully designed, with plenty of little spots featuring benches, loungers and chairs that invite you to pause, relax and fully savor the moment. Everything about the property is exceptionally well-organized: parking is easy, with a convenient shuttle service and help with luggage right to the door. We booked the three-course dinner featuring local specialties and also enjoyed breakfast on site – both were prepared with such care and were absolutely delicious. Spending my birthday here was truly unforgettable; I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting. This place touched our hearts with its family-like atmosphere, and we are certain this was not our last visit. Il Melograno is a hidden gem that simply must be experienced – we left with nothing but gratitude and wonderful memories.

Great town, good home base for other activities in the area, if you're traveling by car. Less touristy than, say, Positano. The town clearly has a life of its own beyond just servicing tourists. We could have stayed longer just to visit more of the restaurants, and do more in the area. We did easy side trips to Paestum, Pompeii, Salerno.

Lots of ceramic shops selling almost the same items. many good restaurants within walking distance. Arrive by train then take the accensore (elevator) down to the town - the lift-well is lined with blue tiles and fish. Gorgeous. The ferry stops down at the bay and bus 68 takes you up to the town for 1.4euro. Buy the ticket from the ladies in the ceramic shop near the bus stop before you board and validate on the bus.

I booked the Double Room with Sea View for good money but at...

I booked the Double Room with Sea View for good money but at no value. The room had a window with blinds that were broken and not possible to open, so instead of the sea view I've got the 4 walls closed space (perfect for Amalfi coast vacation!). Old smelly absolutely shaky furniture, cracks on the walls, dirty walls that haven't seen any paint since the building was finished I guess. Even the soap saucer in the bathroom was cracked. Announced breakfast is just stale croissants with jam and lowkey coffee. Worst experience ever, don't recommend anyone.

We were looking to have a relaxing holiday in a cosy, seaside town and Vietri certainly didn't disappoint! It's a beautiful place with lots of lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help us out. We visited a few places like Amalfi and Positano which we felt were too busy and touristy, but Vietri wasn't like that at all, it feels genuine rather than commercialised. There's a lot of steps as others have mentioned, but I think this just adds to the character of the place and helps to burn off those big bowls of pasta. I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough and we hope to go back again in the future!

We think Vietri is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is easy to reach (most other towns are a pain to drive to), and is a great place to explore from, with Pompeii only 25 mins drive and Herculaneum around 35 minutes, all motorway. The town itself is very authentic and prices are reasonable compared to the better known places. The boat service to other Amalfi towns is regular and easy to use without being too expensive (€25 return to Amalfi for 2 people) - we enjoyed the boat trips as much as the towns which were generally heaving with tourists, I’d hate to think what high season is like

A charming village full of character, famed for its beautiful pottery, we particularly enjoyed its charming little shops filled with colour and variety. The location was conveniently close to Molina, the small village where we stayed. On our first day, we dined at a local restaurant that was excellent, with a variety of fish and meat dishes at reasonable prices. I would recommend avoiding Naples on busy days, as it can be quite chaotic.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. There was everything one would need at home. Exclusively comfortable mattress. Nice sea view from the balcony. Crestarella and Vietri beaches are just 10 and 15 minutes away by feet. The same for Vietri sul Mare port from where you can get ferries to Amalfi, Positano and other cities of the coast.

We loved very much this accomodation: it is located in the heart of Vietri sul Mare, the room is excellent, Rosa is superkind and helpful. The parking possibility was very useful because it would have been almost impossible to find a free parking place nearby. We hope that we can return once. I wish all the best to Rosa and her family!
