One of the best hotels we've stayed in. Hard to find fault in any way. Impressive building, great staff, superb breakfast. Free shuttle to beach & free umbrella/sunbed when we got there. Top quality beachside restaurant - not particularly cheap but solid value.

Staying at il Castellino Relais is like stepping into a beautiful home that has been lovingly created. The architecture is stunning and materials have been carefully selected to convert this former villa into a unique hotel . The garden is also thoughfulky designed with typical trees of the region.The interior of the hotel is tastefully decorated and rooms have all the comfort of contemporary accommodation. The staff are professional as can be seen in the service at reception and in the breakfast room. We thoroughly enjoyed are stay, especially as we could take out bikes to explore the area

A cosy family hotel in a quiet part of town, not far from a beautiful sandy beach. The hotel owner, Rosa, a very pleasant woman, welcomed us like family. Even though we don't speak Italian, we were able to communicate with her. She is very hospitable. “Rosa, if you read this message, my wife, Olga, sends hello to you. Please also say hello to your husband, daughter, and grandson.” We enjoyed our stay here. We decided that we will definitely return to Viesta and stay at Hotel Maggiore again.

Vieste is fantastic!!

Vieste is fantastic!! Wonderful people working at all the cafes, restaurants, and shops. Our favorite place was Fresh! right across the street. We had coffee there every morning and spritzes overlooking the water every afternoon. The staff there are the best!! We also had gelato at the place across the street every night. Our favorite meals were at Acqua and Il Capriccio, both amazing. We also enjoyed Padre Pio and sandwiches at Antichi Sapori. We walked every day to the San Lorenzo beach and back, and rented chairs and an umbrella there twice. Lovely!! We were there during the Vieste in Love festival which was magical.

The boat tour we took along the coast was unforgettable.

The boat tour we took along the coast was unforgettable. Our stay was short and off season, so we walked around the town and out at the Umbra Forest to enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature. If we are in the region again, we would definitely come back to Vieste.

Vieste is absolutely gorgeous.

Vieste is absolutely gorgeous. The historical town is beautiful and restored to perfection with many beautiful restaurants and shops all over. The newer section of town is beaming with modern shops and bars and great places to have an aperitif while people watching. Both areas a great for exploring and strolling around. The beaches are all spectacular with many beautiful restaurants and beach clubs. Highly recommended to all. Can’t waist to retune.

Vieste is really interesting and pretty old town and the...

Vieste is really interesting and pretty old town and the people are friendly. Good standard of restaurants and not overpriced. There's a port where we hired a boat or you can get a boat trip. Some parts are very steep but worth walking up for the views. We stayed on the beach, a 25 min walk in along the beach but worth it or there's a bus for 2 euros p.p Would definitely recommend it :)

After spending 3 weeks in Puglia in late September and...

After spending 3 weeks in Puglia in late September and finding a lot of the cafes bars and restaurants frustratingly closed it was lovely to have a bustling city with beach. We spent a lot of time in the surrounds of the town too with water sports and saw lots of cyclists.

Vieste is a great town.

Vieste is a great town. The old town is very lively at night and there are views galore from everywhere. There are several good restaurants in town. We ate at one near the port and one in the middle of the old town. It is well worth the trouble to get to the Gargano region of Puglia the scenery is spectacular. If you are interested in nature and hiking this is the place to be. We traveled in September, which was definitely off season, I'm sure it can get pretty crowded in the summer.

L’altare Bianco was my first stop on a trip to Puglia. Marco provided a delightful welcome to the area. The accomodations offer everything one could want and more, location is perfect for exploring Vieste and the Gargano and comfort and offer of high quality. Marco was mindful of personal needs such as for breakfast which was delicious and varied and is very attentive in that he aimed for me to enjoy my stay there as well as the area.

Very good and quiet location. Very nice appartment; close to the beaches and Vieste. Luxury pool, parking in shade. Quite a few rules you have to follow - turn off A/C when leaving appartment, the pool is closed between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. etc. We were OK with that though.
