Amazing breakfast with both sweet and savory options. The room was really nice, clean and had a big space. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and we could even rent the tennis court during our stay.

Mrs. Laura (reception) was very nice in our check-in, she follow us to the room to explain about the building, I thank her allowing to us an upgrade due my birthday (61). We had dinner and the food is very good with great presentation. Breakfast is great. Sunset is wonderful .. you need to see. Many details in any place. I really recomend. Near the hotel you can find a nice MALL with great brands.

The property had all amenities as advertised. The location was exceptional as we were attending a wedding at Frattoria degli Usignoli. The mini market nearby had everything you could want and was within walking distance of the property.

This place is literally heaven on earth! Whenever I think of our family's vacation to Italy, I will first most fondly remember our time at Podere Giusti. From Manuela and Gigiulio's (spell?) warm welcome upon our arrival to the beautiful villa to the peaceful/immaculate and serene surroundings, delicious breakfast etc., every part of our stay was warm and welcoming. Manuela was so flexible our entire stay from letting us choose between open accommodations that fit our family best, to helping us plan activities and food sometimes with very little notice. She helped arrange a fantastic lunch of vegetable quiche's with the amazing on site chef's quickly, a wonderful horseback riding experience and massages with an excellent therapist for my husband and myself. I would be remiss if I didn't give a special shout out to Sabin. On our last morning we did an amazing pizza making class (which extended to many additional bonuses) and she was wonderful with our children. We all absolutely loved the class. My kids rated it as one of their top activities of the whole trip! Podere Giusti is a VERY special place and the staff has everything to do with this. Know that you are signing up for a more serene setting in a beautiful small town, Reggello, but I wouldn't change this for anything. We had a car and had a great dinner in the town (booked by Manuela of course!). To sum up, we definitely hope we can return one day! Thank you for all the memories =)

The people, their hospitality and the great food they serve make this a very good and special place. Beautiful garden where there’s lots of space to sit under the shadow of a tree and read or enjoy the mountain views. Good swimming pool too. But it’s the staff that does it. They’re excellent hosts, also went out of their way to accomodate our glutenfree dietary needs. Thank you Daniele and team!

Amazing place to stay while visiting Tuscany. The owners did incredible job to make this place something to visit again. Has everything what you need – pool, parking, great restaurants nearby, great selection of wines! The breakfast was excellent! It is in 30 min drive from Florence and 1 hour drive from Pisa. The wine testing is very close. So looking forward to visit again!

The guided tour of the experimental arboretums was very...

The guided tour of the experimental arboretums was very interesting, as was the Giants' Path in the surrounding forest, an easy walk that allowed us to admire the two tallest trees in Italy, true arboreal monuments. However, we were unable to visit the abbey, which is accessible with guided tours only a few days a week.

The place is very cool, full of woods.

The place is very cool, full of woods. Unfortunately, it feels like an abandoned town...there are no shops or businesses, just lots of hotels, most of which are closed...and just a few restaurants, which are quite expensive!

There are plenty of trails, but they're poorly maintained.

There are plenty of trails, but they're poorly maintained. Few signs, fallen trees and branches everywhere. I even wrote to the Municipality of Reggello about this, because that forest is a true treasure, but it needs to be made more easily accessible and manageable for hiking guests.

Stunning forests with various trails for nature lovers. A quiet corner opposite the Abbey, offering year-round visits and the opportunity to tour the experimental plantings, accompanied by forest rangers (but again only during the summer).

Spectacular nature, a very beautiful and interesting abbey.

Spectacular nature, a very beautiful and interesting abbey. Very welcoming monks. I found the trail signage slightly lacking. I didn't find an information point where I could buy trail maps, but perhaps there was one somewhere I just missed.

Vallombrosa has an exceptionally pleasant climate for summer...

Vallombrosa has an exceptionally pleasant climate for summer: the clientele is noticeably predominantly older. They explained to us that Florentines, those who can afford it, bring their parents and in-laws to spend the hottest summer months in a beautiful, cool location not far from the city.
