We absolutely LOVED our stay at Baita Motti!! The staff is so caring and genuine, always ready to assist with a smile and accommodate any request; we were celebrating a special birthday and they really made sure we had the best time looking after us. The position is premium: literally on the slopes and Domobianca is a great destination for both beginner and expert skiers. We enjoyed great food and such a cozy vibe in the wooden and refurbished chalet. For dinner there was also live music and a themed dinner which really delivered a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, with simple but gorgeous design and windows on the ceiling so you can stare at the stars while falling asleep. I really look forward to plan another stay at Baita Motti

The hotel is situated in the most stunning place high up on the mountains, if you drive and you are brave you want to drive over the mountains to the hotel because the views are another leave beautiful, however… the drive over the mountains was an extreme sport, The hotel itself is peaceful place with very friendly staff, in fact I stayed an extra night :)

Liked · Staff were incredible. We arrived around 8 on a Saturday night and found crowds all the way up the high street and all parking taken. Oh oh. Some trepidation! My wife went in and was assured we could just pull over on the side of the road (don’t worry the police are in the festival no one is checking!) There is a lovely restaurant bar at La Stazione but when asking for somewhere to eat the staff urged us to joint the festival which was a walking food festival taking you around the town culminating in viewing the stars on “glass night”. We did this as the family with a 9 and 11 year old in tow and it was a magical evening. Everyone was incredibly friendly and we walked with large groups of lovely locals chatting away (we speak no Italian so there was a lot of gesturing and smiling!) between food stations of steak tartar, the best risotto and pasta we’d ever eaten and loads of other regional delicacies and lots and lots of wine with local musicians playing us along the way. Truly Magical evening and thank you to the staff for recommending Breakfast the next morning was superb. The only downside was the room was a bit noisy above the bar but this was a once a year town fete so understandable! Absolutely loved our night here, life long meteorites of a perfect Italian experience were created for the whole family. The children were in heaven and have already said it’s the best holiday they’ve ever had or will ever have! Highly highly tecommend joint the festival if you get the chance, it was the 10th of August this year

We loved our apartment and the pretty little village,...

We loved our apartment and the pretty little village, however, we went to eat at the restaurant next door. I don't think we'll go back if we return; it was very greasy, we couldn't eat, and it was expensive for three pieces of fried chicken. That's the only downside.

A 15-minute walk is enough to explore Trontano.

A 15-minute walk is enough to explore Trontano. While beautifully situated on a mountainside, it offers little in the way of tourist attractions. The village serves more as a base for exploring the surrounding area. A car is absolutely essential, however. Trontano can be reached from Domodossola via a very winding road.

Pretty village.

Pretty village. Good starting point for beautiful hikes in the Montecrestese region. Unfortunately, there were no open restaurants within walking distance. Limited bus connections to Domodossola. However, there is a connection to the Centovalli Railway!
