FAQs about hotels in Turin

Shrouded in Sophistication

Italy’s first capital, sophisticated Turin has many elegant buildings and porticoed streets. Large Piazza Castello is the focal point and centres on Palazzo Madama, an unusual structure with a Renaissance façade and medieval body.

The next door Royal Palace backs onto Turin Cathedral, home to the Turin Shroud, the cloth with an imprint of Christ only rarely on display. Its museum is just one of the many fantastic Turin museums. None is better than the Egyptian Museum, the largest collection of Egyptian artefacts outside Cairo. Also noteworthy is the Mole Antonelliana, housing displays on Italian cinema and supposedly the world’s tallest museum.

By the Po, Italy’s longest river, is the Parco del Valentino, a tranquil park that is home to the Borgo Medievale, an artificial, medieval-style settlement with a castle.

However, within Italy, Turin is best known for sport and cars. FIAT is based here and nostalgia lovers can visit the rooftop track on top of their old Lingotto factory, now a conference centre. The city’s 2 Serie A football clubs - Torino and Juventus - also have electric atmospheres at their games.

Watch out for amazing views of the Alps as you fly into Turin Airport. Public transport then quickly links you to your Booking.com hotel, B&B or hostel.

Spacious, clean, mostly modern city; didn't feel too busy or crowded at all (unlike Milano or Rome). Easily accessible by train from other big Italian cities. Felt safe, maybe the most safe I've ever been in Italy and I've traveled a lot in many regions. Good local (Piemontese) food: both at restaurants and at the local market (pasta, cheese, porchetta, pizza). The best and most unique place for Italy in Torino is the Egyptian museum. I personally speak Italian but I managed to notice locals often speak really good English, incl. at service desks and at restaurants.

This is a very beautiful and majestic under-the-radar city.

This is a very beautiful and majestic under-the-radar city. Early November is a great time to go - sunny, mild and all the leaves changing colour. There's lots to see but it's compact and four days make a perfect trip.

Hotel reception Staff suggested two excellent restaurants & helped us download the public transport GTT to Move App which enabled us to buy & self validate 3.70€ daily integrated tickets for use on the tram/ bus & metro. We enjoyed our morning breakfast at Cafe La Grange beside Porta Nouva. We visited the Roysl Palace & took a trip on Tram no.4 from Porta Nouva to the Palazzo Market which is the biggest indoor market in Europe. We would recommend downloading a translation App (such as Translate) as menus are not usually in English.

Turin is a fantastic city, it steals your heart!

Turin is a fantastic city, it steals your heart! People from Turin are kind and funny, and the vibe is great, with lots of young people to meet. The food is amazing, along with the wine. There are many areas to pick for your lunches, aperitifs and dinners out. To me, a week is not enough to explore everything, as there’s so much to see both in the city and its surroundings. The history and beauty of Turin will leave you speechless. Turin is easy to discover by public transport.

Lovely Italian city.

Lovely Italian city. Amazing local food and wine and lots of museums to explore. I would recommend the cinema Musuem and the Egyptian Musuem. Also very easy to travel around using buses, metro or trains. We didn't need catch a single taxi.

Location of facility is perfect for exploring Turin. You can walk anywhere you want and also T4 tram line is right in front of hotel. Hotel and its neighborhood make you feel safe even at night time. Apartment is very spacious and there are all utilities you may need. In addition, it was perfectly clean. Staff is more than helpful and friendly, they are like your friends in Turin :) They frequently ask if you need help about anything and supply you with all the info about their facility and the city.

Quick stopover at Hotel Torino on our way back from Puglia to the UK. Have stayed there several times before as we no longer fly because of environmental concerns but love Italy so take the train each year. The hotel is convenient for Porta Susa station. It is comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are always friendly. We got our usual room on the 5th floor in the eaves, with views over the city, which we love.

This attic apartment is beautifully presented and very comfortable. We made good use of the terrace, as the weather was fine and we could enjoy an evening glass of wine. Once you orientate yourself walking around the city is easy. Turin is a gem in northern Italy.

Great location - across the road from Turin Porta Susa, and close to useful shops. This is a very good 3-star hotel, and the prices are excellent. Very pleasant and helpful staff as well. I always stay here whenever I visit Turin.

Absolutely nothing. The hotel should be rated for 1 star at best - comparing to 3-star hotel in Rome and 2-star hotel in Ventimiglia.
