A romantic house with 4 small holiday flats (each has 45 square meters with a living room including a fully equipped kitrchen, a bed room and a bathroom plus a balcony) allowing for privacy and relaxation inmidst of nature. The house is sourrounded by a big private garden. We enjoyed the big wooden terrace with tables, a swing and the hot pot. In addition there is a small but cozy wellness zone with Finnish sauna, waterbed, infrared, shower and some fitness equipment. Ideal for those who like peace and nature. The village is a bit more than a kilometer away - a 20 minutes walk. In the village you will find a pizzeria, restaurants, hotels, shops, a big supermarket, basically anything you need. Who does not want to walk that far might consider having lunch or dinner at the closeby (300 meters) restaurant "Schluff" or another that can also be reached in ten minutes ("Pippo"). From the village a cablecar brings you to the capital of the region: Bolzano (in Italian) or Bozen (in German). The city has 100.000 inhabitants and offers countless attractions for your daytrips. But we preferred staying on the countryside. House Himmelfahrt is indeed a perfect destination for those who are keen on green travelling. The house has its own sustainability-strategy and can be easily reached by train (from Rome to Bolzano you travel less than 5 hours) and cable car (from Bolzano to Soprabolzano in 12 minutes). Who arrives by electric car can use the charging station of House Himmelfahrt. Our kids enjoyed to see hens, cats, horses and donkeys every day. They also loved the pavillion dedicated to the young guests of House Himmelfahrt (a tiny adult-free zone). I had many peaceful moments in the "atelier" of House Himmelfahrt: a wodden caravan fully equipped with paper, colours, pens, brushes etc allowing to unchain your creativity with a breathtaking view to the Dolomites. I enjoyed the feeling that the whole area is a totally safe space for children.

We booked the regular appartment and: - it is a lovely and vey comfortable place with everything you may need in terms of amenities and appliances; - it has a splendid view on Bolzano; - it is perfectly located in front of the little train that takes you where you need and in between different activities that can be reached with nice walks; - David was a fantastic host doing everything he could to make us 100% satisfied as he told us. - it is an unbeatable deal thanks to the passes that David gives his host and which allow one to use for free the tourist train, the cable car to Bolzano, the buses, and visit museums, etc. It saved us hundreds of euros as a family of five. Again, thanks a lot David and see you on our next trip to the region!

Guys, I liked everything here. It's fully isolated in the nature but at the same time only 2km from the village and the 🚠. The room is super comfy with everything you need, and the bed is made to sleep 20 hours so cosy it is. When it's freezing outside you love to come back to your warm wooden room. The place is super equipped, and the balcony is a dream for a wine and cigarette before going to sleep watching the stars and the village of Wangen. The lady is so much cute and helpful, and the two children super funny (and the small one has defeated us at pong pong ☝️). We hope to be back here very soon - I've lived in the region for 15 years and now I come back just as tourist, and this could become my new "home" when here. PS: and you hear the sound of the cows the chickens and smell the nature, hard to describe is few words. PPS: I make such a review but hope you're not all going there as I want to find a room always :) PPPS: it's on the mountains, and for the commute to the village (for work or to visit friends as in our case) or to the ski slopes (in winter) you have to drive a little, on mountain roads. Saying this just to avoid that somebody with Ferrari goes there :)

The breakfast was excellent - good variety of foods available, good coffee, friendly staff. We had an early checkout on the last day and the staff put together a boxed breakfast and lunch for our train ride, which was very kind. Staff were very helpful.
