Our stay at Vila Marchese was truly exceptional. The hosts and their family were incredibly welcoming & we felt like part of their family from day one. Breakfast was a daily highlight: freshly prepared with love, offering a variety of options that changed each day. They happily fulfilled any special requests. The villa itself is beautifully maintained and clean with a peaceful outdoor area and a lovely pool, perfect for relaxing and sun bathing, even after check-out. The small town is a hidden gem, authentic, charming, and home to a great local bar that is frequented by locals. The city is right by the river that flows into Lake Maggiore. Even without a car, the hosts made everything possible, even giving us a ride to Sesto Calende, the best-connected town nearby. The entire family is involved in running Villa, which adds a unique and heartfelt touch to the whole experience and Silvia’s hospitality made our stay unforgettable.

I wish I had taken the opportunity of the shuttle bus to the hotel - I drove and took a wrong turn and almost ended up in Switzerland! - and hired the car the following day! It was very late. The hotel was clean, the staff were very welcoming and considerate even though it was gone 23:00 when we arrived. The room was well-appointed but not fancy: it had everything one needed for the night. The breakfast the following morning was solid fare: good coffee and croissants, just right for setting out on a journey.

Not worth the money paid for the room.

Not worth the money paid for the room. I was happy to have the free airport shuttle. There was no breakfast to speak of. No tea kettle in room. Had to go to reception to get hot tea, which was inconvenient. Why have a TV in a room where you can not turn it on? There was no remote control and no switches on the TV. Would have been nice to had a second pillow.

This is a horrible place, I stay here only because I have a flight to catch. There is no restaurant nearby, so you have to eat their expensive hotel food. Don't go there if you do not have to. Also, the hotel ask each person an extra euro for TOWN TAX, not local tax, and this charge is not on the bill. Strange, right?

Overall, everything was great except the A/C in the room. It seems it maybe centrally controlled there limiting my ability to change the room temperature. Otherwise everything was great and had a friendly staff which is much appreciated! Thank you!

We had a wonderful lunch at Bar Enoteca.

We had a wonderful lunch at Bar Enoteca. The owners could not have been nicer, and although they spoke little English, we communicated well. The wife made us wonderful sandwiches and her husband pulled out a map of Italy and was telling us about local wines. They were delightful! We had great gelato afterward right across the street but can't.

I'm sure it is a nice place for someone that likes peace,...

I'm sure it is a nice place for someone that likes peace, nature, woods, etc, as this place was in the middle of nowhere in from of a dam. Unfortunately, I needed convenience, and expeditions service as I only need to relax for the night before heading to the airport at 5:00 AM. Because you are in the woods, there are no restaurants or anything else, and you can only reach this location by car.

I like the customer service, my wife accidently booked for a family 2+2 but she accidently indicated children as infants rather than few years old. Even though that's needed further clarification the hotel representative was so kind not to charge double rate. Also, we have used the service of the hotel's driver, maybe not the cheapest but very nice people Tiziano & Filippo. I can recommend them as well. Overall Very positive experience.

We stayed at Dolce by Wyndham Milan Malpensa after a problem with other accommodation at Lugarno. Finding this conveniently located 24/7 checkin hotel at such short notice was very appreciated, but the cleanliness, comfort and quality of the stay really impressed us enough to come back when we are travelling between Switzerland, Italy and France. Great room, solid breakfast, superb value for money with a smooth experience.

It was very nice to get the free shuttle to and from the airport and that saved us a lot of time and money. the area around the hotel was very beautiful and we a had a pleasant walk after breakfast and enjoyed looking at the animals and nature.
