Savigno is a great base to visit nearby city’s such as Bologna and Modena, there are lots of fantastic restaurants in and around the town and we were lucky enough to be here when the monthly antiques market was on

Savigno is a nice little town.

Savigno is a nice little town. Known as being the city of Tartufo (truffle). The restaurants are top class using their access to the very best local ingredients. Dinner at the Michelin awarded restaurant Amerigo was an absolute highlight but several other restaurants in Savigno and the local region was top quality. Savigno is a very good point of departure for sight seeings around in Emilia-Romagna with short distances to Bologna, Modena and beautiful hills and montains.

I would love to come back for more time on our next trip, the town was quaint and very charming, pastoral, and the food and local shops look very inviting. Nice quiet town in the country just outside of Bolognia. Perfect for rest and relaxation.
