From the moment the gate opened, I fell in love with La Sovana. The property is immaculately maintained, with a beautiful layout and well-paved pathways that invite you to take leisurely walks and soak in the scenic views of the agriturismo. Our room was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and ideally located just steps from the dining area. The peaceful setting made it easy to unwind, and relaxing by the pool was an absolute pleasure. Every detail—from the thoughtful décor to the elegant design of both the room and bathroom—surpassed my expectations. Breakfast was exceptional, and dinner was equally memorable. We were lucky enough to enjoy a perfectly prepared T-bone steak, lovingly made by the owner and his wife. The staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. Even the owner, Yussef, personally checked in to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Truly, every aspect of our experience was unforgettable.

Best booking experience ever! The host was extremely helpful, friendly and always available with any questions. The location is very good, a few steps from the old town, food stor, a restaurant etc. Free parking is right around the corner. It is located in a historical building with a very authentic yard view. The apartment itself is nice and clean. Shower gel, shampoo, fresh towels, coffee machine - everything was provided. Highly recommend this place to stay in Sarteano. The best and easiest booking experience. 11/10!

Sarteano is a small, picturesque hilltop town. It has a range of shops, bars and restaurants, a castle and a lot of typical winding streets. A good base from which to explore the local sights. While we were there we visited Siena, Monteriggione, Pienza and Montecchiello, Montepulciano and, one of the highlights, Bagni di San Filippo, where you can bathe in warm sulphurous waters.

This is a beautiful small town.

This is a beautiful small town. Favorite restaurant is Chiostro Cennini. All restaurants, bars, gelato store, supermarket, small grocery, pharmacy within easy walking distance of this apartment. The old town charm is everywhere and this city seems to be well loved and maintained.

A very pretty village with lots to see.

A very pretty village with lots to see. It's a shame I didn't have enough time to visit, but it's highly recommended for a weekend getaway. The bars are open in the evenings, and it's a pleasant walk through the village in the summer.

Unfortunately, for us tourists, the archaeological area of San Casciano is still undergoing a discovery process and therefore not open to visitors. The finds discovered in recent years are scattered around the world, so we were very disappointed.

A small but interesting village.

A small but interesting village. The castle and civic museum are open to visitors. Unfortunately, the "Tomb of the Winged Demons" can only be visited on Saturdays; the museum houses a reconstruction. It's wonderful to find artisan workshops in the historic center, especially a very kind young man who works with leather and a ceramist. The food and wine are excellent.

A beautiful medieval village, clean and well-organized. The state-of-the-art parking meter offers free parking the first time you enter your license plate. There are trattorias and restaurants where time seems to have stood still, and the dishes offer the flavors of times gone by. The Cinta Senese fillet with Colonnata lard is a must-try.

We had a good 1-night stopover at La Gustea Hotel on our way from Sicily to Milan. The hotel is very nice and clean and the hosts are such friendly and nice people, who gave us, and our dogs, a warm welcome upon arrival. The room is spacious, with a contemporary design and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony towards the castle is beautiful. The room comes with a nice and big bathroom. Location is good, only a short walk to the historical village centre. The hotel offers good and safe parking.

Sarteano is a perfect base to explore Tuscany, the historic centre is picture perfect with several good local restaurants within walking distance. The palazzo is beautiful. We stayed here as a family of 4 in the green room. Everything was perfect, comfortable beds, good strong shower, clean. Breakfast was a real treat, with homemade croissants, cakes, biscuits, jam, eggs etc. Chiara, the owner is warm and friendly. We would love to visit again.
