The guesthouse is very well organized and managed by the hosts. Martina is the manager and she has been extremely helpful, friendly and organized to the smallest detail. She prepares herself breakfast for you and will get up at 5:30 AM to set you the breakfast before the morning flight on departure. I met her parents and they welcome you and give you a warm and caring hospitality. I feel lucky to have stayed in their pension.

This was a lovely place to stay, high up under Mount Etna with a partial view to the distant sea far below. Spectacular sunrises and moonscapes. There's plenty of room inside the large, high-ceilinged building, which is generally well equipped and surrounded by woodland and vineyards. An attractive terrace catches the sun in the morning. The narrow, winding roads on the way to and from the property from the motorway are perhaps not for the faint-hearted...

An amazing little jewel of hotel and restaurant in the middle of the forest up at the Etna Vulcano. It’s a family-ran beautiful little place to stay right next to a forest and lots of places to play with kids such as playgrounds and open areas - we stayed with the dog and he had lots of fun too! A quick drive from Catania and from the top of the crater, this place is a must if you love amazing nature (you can hear the Vulcano from there!), kind hospitality and good food (we enjoyed the set menu including lots of homemade local Sicilian foods at a good rate, beautifully made and very abundant)

Everything was as advertised, we really enjoyed it! It was close to everywhere we wanted to visit, 1hr car ride most from each location, but not in the hassle of the centre. Staff was ALWAYS very nice to us and very accomodating. We had dinner there too, and we definitely were not disappointed. Super clean, parking at the premises and great breakfast. We will definitely consider this hotel if we return to the area. Well done! A presto.

It was a perfect stay to say at least. The hotel is beautifully renovated. The staff is amazing - very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cosy and spacious. Pool was like a blue lagoon surrounded by the lemon trees which smelled insanely. Couldn’t recommend this place enough !

My stay at Monaci delle Terre Nere was truly exceptional. This is a paradise on the slopes of Etna amidst the lush Sicilian countryside, the property exuded tranquillity and charm. I can't say enough about attentive service, gourmet meals sourced from their own organic garden, exceptional collection of art, fantastic wine tasting and cooking class.... and the sleep. i travel around the world a lot - this is one of THE best places to sleep and simply enjoy time at the hotel. and time here is sweet and slow, just like local honey.

The family hotel ir located in the town in the mountains, at first the narrow roads were a bit intimidating, but every day we appreciated the peace of this place more and more. Very nice and friendly hosts, helped us choose places to see and where to eat. They prepared a hearty breakfast themselves, we could choose what we wanted to eat. A large and spacious yard, a swimming pool, which the children appreciated, and excellent cleanliness - everything you need for a pleasant vacation!

The hotel is beautiful, in a somewhat remote but idyllic location. To me, the best part of the hotel is the staff- they did a wonderful job of communicating with us over Whatsapp and helping to meet our needs. We ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner once on a normal night and once for Easter brunch; we would highly recommend it. We would recommend this as a cozy getaway for travelers young or old. A car is best for traveling to the hotel.

The staff of the hotel is very nice and helpful, the hotel itself is nice too, comfortable and the food is good. Parking the car is not a problem because the hotel has it's own parking and is also available in the street next to it. It's the ideal hotel to stay in on a mountain especially in winter time. I definitely recommend it.
