I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Many thanks to Elizabeth for all her help, for the warm, friendly welcome. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the center of Verona. It is also possible to go directly to Verona by bus from the nearby bus stop. It is located in the wine region, very calm, peaceful, pleasant. The wine gardens are walkable from the hotel. (It is recommended) The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortably designed with modern Italian design. Different homemade sweets for breakfast as well as juices and jams were delicious and good.

We absolutely loved our stay! The rooms were spacious with outstanding design and high-quality materials – luxurious in every detail and smartly laid out, with excellent air conditioning. Parking was conveniently located just below the hotel. But what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Their speed, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made us feel like part of the family. The breakfast service, especially the table service, was impeccable. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of Castelrotto, just 100 meters from a top-notch restaurant offering exquisite food, fantastic wines, and creative cocktails. Amazing place with an amazing host. Giovanni was very helpfull with the recommendations of the local restaurants and winerys. As well, he produces his own wine, jams, tee itc. All his products are great. He provided us all the informations that were needed. He is an outstanding and hardworking person. We liked that place was in middle of the vineyards, we had peacefull vacation with an amazing view from the terrace and the room also. Domus Cariana is the perfect point: Verona is 15 min away and lake cca 35 minutes. Giovanni, Thank you 🙂

If you're staying here to commute into Verona, don't.

If you're staying here to commute into Verona, don't. The bus systems aren't very reliable and you can't stay too long in the city or else you miss the last bus that leaves early in the night. I had multiple experiences standing and waiting at bus stops in 95-degree heat for busses that were running late and it was miserable. San Pietro in Cariano is a beautiful little town but there isn't much there and not many people speak a language outside of Italian as it is not a tourist spot and such a small town. There are a few restaurants in town, but the language barrier is difficult and often I would just prefer to wait and eat down in Verona as it was easier. The commute by bus into town is about 30-40 minutes and there is no working AC on the bus so you are either standing or sitting in your own sweat for that entire time. I would have rather spent the money and stayed in the city, but the place I stayed in San Pietro in Cariano was lovely and I have no complaints about that, I just chose the wrong location.

We had a wonderful stay at Domus Cariana! The place was spotless and beautifully kept, with lovely seating areas around the hotel. We were lucky to experience stunning sunrises and sunsets, which made our stay truly magical. Giovanni was the perfect host – always helpful and kind, assisting us with bookings for wine tours and restaurants. For us cycling around the wine region, Domus Cariana was the ideal base. Highly recommended, and we hope to return!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The children loved the downstairs games room! It was helpful to have a small fridge in the room. Loved the art work around the hotel! The cafe across the road was excellent.

Have been coming to this property for over 15 years or more and does not look tired. The property is as fresh and alive as when it was built into the luxury hotel. Nothing seem to have aged and looks great.
