This place is nestled amongst olive groves, vineyards and rolling hills. Antonio with his wonderful family welcomed us and we had a really magical stay there. True Umbrian hospitality! Thank you,Antonio,Maria Teresa,Franco and Simone. In true Austrian Style we will say, I‘LL BE BACK!

It is a self check-in property which means you need to be somewhat handy with that. Still it was possible to contact the staff by phone and get all the answers and help needed. We did, in fact, bump into an unexpected issue which was taken care of speedily and most satisfactorily. Truly top service in this respect and we managed to solve everything together. The owner runs a small restaurant on the ground floor which we recommend most warmly (check opening hours). You get to taste really good local specialties and be educated on high quality local wines. If you are a history nerd brace yourself: the owner will most certainly surpass your wildest expectations. Note that if you come by car you'll need to park your car outside town, on the other side of the bridge, but it's just a small walk from the hotel.

Our location....it was superb, the city centre 200 mts away, with the Medieval Festival in full swing. We had a Bar next door, and a coffee shop and patisserie next to that! Heaven. Our room was the most creative and fun place to be. Forget hotel rooms, this was full of character and turned a small space into a cosy hideaway.

This was an exceptional stay with a kind and generous host. My partner and I were made to feel incredibly welcome and we received good advice from our generous host about what to do and where to eat in Cividale. The space is a tastefully renovated old church compound with beautiful gardens and it is full of charm and character. Breakfast was delicious.

Location was perfect, just 2 mins walk from the main square and museums. A large selection of bars, restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was charming, equipped with everything one needs, clean and quiet, lovely bathroom. My host also provided water, some biscuits, tea and coffee. I can really recommend it and will definitely be back someday.

Very nice traditional village with perfect location between...

Very nice traditional village with perfect location between sea and mountains with a lot of traditional local hand made businesses, farms, vineyards, trattories. We enjoined swimming in the river Natisone and walking around. We made short track to the waterfall Kot. We were delighted with traditional cusine in trattoria in Altana and great coffe and local hand made cakes in charming cafe on the central square in Azzida. And really loved walking in beautiful historical center of Cividale del Friuli. I recomend to take your watershoes and get your feet wet under the Devil's bridge.
