Wow what an amazing hotel ! We loved every minute of our stay. It’s a family run hotel and they were so helpful with suggestions of places to go which were fantastic. We had a wonderful view of the beach and marina and could see the sunrise from the bed!! Breakfast was excellent with everything freshly baked ! It’s only half an hour from Lecce and half an hour from Otranto. They suggested going to a swimming place called The 100 steps which was the most beautiful place where we have ever swam! They have a lovely restaurant in the hotel overlooking the sea and the service there was excellent. We have never experienced such friendly people. We had stayed in a hotel in Polignano where they were only interested in telling us about places that cost money to go to, not at all the case in Hotel Romano. We were so sad to leave . We will definitely be back as it’s in the middle of The Salento Peninsula which has amazing beaches. Our room was perfect and you could not hear any sounds from the other rooms. When they showed us the room they apologised that it was small !! It was not small, it was just perfect with a huge balcony. I can’t praise this hotel enough , just wonderful people and wonderful location.

San Foca has a lovely feel; very good options for restaurants and bars and a beautiful seafront and marina. This property lies right at the heart of all that. Our room, which was beautifully appointed in a modern fashion had a fantastic terrace overlooking the marina. Breakfast was undoubtedly the best we have had on our travels and the central facility where this was served was very special, again with a large terrace overlooking the marina and seafront. Now for the best bit of all, our hosts. We have never been treated with such care and genuine hospitality and friendliness; they really wanted our stay to be very special…and it was. Hugely impressive.

Extremely helpful, friendly, considerate and nice stuff (once a breakfast was brought to the room as I didn't show up for it), great fresh design of the rooms, amazing terrace and sea view of the Deluxe room. They even provide you with a free parking all around San Foca and organise evening dinners with antipasti. Loved our stay there and couldn't recommend more <3

Staying at Luigio and Imma's apartments was incredible! I've never had such a warm welcome, it was like we were at our friends house, not at renting apartment. The apartment has everything you need for a short vacation, the kitchen is fully equipped, so you can cook easily. Moreover, Luigio left to us a set of local products for cooking pasta, a bottle of wine and olive oil from his farm, some snacks, Imma's homemade pasticciotta and cold water were also waiting for us. That was definitely like an oasis after our long road to San foca! :) There were the washing machine (with washing liquid, that is very rarely to have in renting apartments), towels, iron, comfy beds and etc. The beach is literally 2 minutes walk, but we liked more other beaches 1-2km from the apartment, so thanks to the 2 bikes, that Luigio gave us, we could reach all the beauty near San foca easily! The San foca's center is around 10 minutes walk through the illuminated embankment. I would definitely recommend staying at Luigio and Imma's apartment, if you want feel like home!

A very pretty town, easily explored on foot. Unfortunately, it offers little for young people. The few venues (in addition to the 1,000 restaurants) should do something for young people (live music, DJs, themed nights).

A beautiful location with a long, sandy beach.

A beautiful location with a long, sandy beach. Very close to other renowned sites in Salento, such as Torre dell'Orso, the Faraglioni di San Andrea, Porto Badisco, Otranto, and more. In the evening, there are plenty of bars and clubs, and a lively nightlife. I would recommend it as a base for visiting several places.

Residence Solaris! Thieves!

Residence Solaris! Thieves! I paid for an apartment upstairs with a sea view, and they put me in an apartment downstairs! Or this is my money back! They laughed and told me to ask Booking.com for the money! Real thieves.

It was a good location, but we were expecting that it would be a bit closer to the sea. There are some nice beaches very close by (you can take a walk there or hop on a tourist train). It is a nice location to visit good beaches and nice towns (Otranto, Lecce) if you don't mind some driving. The host was very sweet and friendly (speaking only Italian). They offer a lovely breakfast in the breakfast area. The hotel has a lovely garden with a big terrace in the front and a pool in the back.
