Great place to stay in the mountains away from the tourist circus on Lake Como, which is a 15min drive away. There are also some good restaurants in the mountain village around the Villa (walking distance, although be prepared for walking uphill). The Villa is a beautifully renovated historic building run by a friendly Dutch couple. It has just a couple rooms and the neighbourhood is quiet. Great place to relax or to use as a base as exploring the Como and/or Lugano areas.

We had an amazing experience at Agriturismo le Radici. The location is beautifully serene, making it perfect for relaxation, and it boasts breathtaking views. The farm is home to various animals, including llamas and cows. The food was absolutely incredible — everything was organic and locally sourced. You absolutely must try it! The owners were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy delicious, healthy food in a peaceful environment!

A great base for exploring the hills (walking and cycling) around the Italian lakes. A totally different experience from anything lake side - in my view, a much better experience than things along Lake Como.

It's a cute, friendly town.

It's a cute, friendly town. Not overrun with tourists like so many other towns on the lake. Good restaurants, good bars, a great pasticceria, and good cafes. Not one bad moment! (When traveling through the town, do NOT follow Google map suggestions - if the occur - to use "small" roads. Note the different widths of roads on the maps. Only use the wider one. Narrow ones can take you to alleys you may not be able to go through.)

- The reception (Simone) is amazing. - The breakfast is great with varieties and the restaurant area has big windows with lotsa light facing garden, which I love about it. - The mattress was very uncomfortable. - The room was super cold in May and we couldn't sleep coz we were freezing.

If you have much luggage, I would travel there by car.

If you have much luggage, I would travel there by car. Otherwise travelling by bus was really easy and inexpensive. We ate at most of the places on the main street through the town. But our favourite meal was at Mare e Monti. They offered a great assorted seafood option.

We loved the views, in all honesty they were just...

We loved the views, in all honesty they were just spectacular. The best part of driving to the village was admiring the countryside as you got there. That being said, make sure you don't have a very wide vehicle as you drive up from the Lake Lugano side. The roads are very thin and have some sharp hairpin bends. Driving up from Lake Como is much more relaxing, using the main road. Our favourite place to eat was the Taverna Due Castagni. The food was amazing, the prices (average 11€ per course) make it superbe value for money. The staff were very patient with us, as we had accidentally turned up without booking.

Great location at a beautiful valley, easy to reach both the lake como and the lake lugano! The town itself is charming and very welcoming. For food and drinks, there are plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Room is pretty clean while the bathroom is very spacious. And the mountain view from the balcony is amazing! Delicious breakfast~ We feel lucky to find this place, and will definitely come back again!

Our room was recently renovated and really modern. Everything was clean and well equipped. The staff was really friendly even though we can't speak any italian. The breakfast was simple but really delicious. The location is only 10-15 minutes by car from the next village at the lake. From there you can take a ferry to other parts of the lake. Over all we were really happy with our stay.

I like the decoration of the kitchen, and the breakfast with a cosy vibe and yummy. The room is clean, the bathroom is inside the room, the bed is extra comfy. My friend really adored the bed sheets with flowers and 'villa' vibe. 😂
