This is more of a hotel and not a hostel! The place was absolutely spotlessly clean. I had an excellent two nights' sleep and the room had everything you required; slippers, welcome pack, tea and coffee and kettle! There is a kitchen area where you can make yourself a range of hot drinks and use their water machine. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Volpedo is a delightful town with a tonne of history and cobbled streets. I would 100% stay again and the photos do not do the hotel justice.

Really cool room, very nice staff and super clean. The restaurant served delicious food and they thought with me with a lot of effort. I came by bike and was completely dirty, they helped me spray it off and provided me with cloths to clean. Pool was not open since it was autumn, but the villa itself is great. Can only recommend.

Overall, one gets the impression that the city has seen much better days. There are a lot of dilapidated and abandoned buildings and other structures. On Wednesday, most restaurants and bars were closed and hardly anyone was out and about. On Saturday, however, it was bustling and the bars and restaurants were packed.

Saline isn't actually a thermal spa anymore, as it's closed for an extended renovation. The place has seen better days and is practically deserted during the week. However, it's quite busy on weekends. There are plenty of restaurants offering good quality food.

I can’t recommend this place enough! Tucked away in the Oltrepò Pavese, often called the “new Tuscany” for good reason. The hotel is beautifully run, with a cozy yet elegant vibe, and every detail feels thoughtful. Whether you’re here to relax by the pool, explore the vineyards, or just breathe in the countryside, this place delivers. I will definitely be back!
