This was a superb place to start our Sicilian adventure and we spent 4 nights here. The location is in a beautiful garden within a few hundred metres of the main town square where there are restaurants. Vincenzo and Dominica were kind and generous hosts, constantly checking we were OK and going out of their way to provide a fantastic breakfast. We had a garden room with a balcony where we could sit and watch the sun set. Vincenzo also helped us with booking trips up Etna, telling us the best places to go, introducing us to Sicilian culture, and translating Italian websites. We would stay here again. For info you really need a car to get to Ragalna as public transport is limited.

A perfect holiday location on the slopes of Etna. A half hour drive to Catania and the airport. A half hour drive to the Etna cable car. A small town, but everything is around the corner: a local supermarket, a bakery and a cafe. Nice restaurants. The house has everything that's needed: air conditioned, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and an outside sitting area under an olive tree or on a balcony overlooking the olive tree. The hosts are wonderful and will do everything to make your stay perfect and they will supply anything you might require. We have spent a wonderful week and the house was perfect.

Ragalna is a small village part of the metropolitan city of...

Ragalna is a small village part of the metropolitan city of Catania. It is south of the etna volcano and about 20km from Etna Refugio Sapienza. It is a very quiet town and has everything you would need, such as supermarkets, Restaurants, vegetable Shops and Salmuneria Shops. Also playground for kids in the town square.

We only stayed one night and we wished we could have stayed...

We only stayed one night and we wished we could have stayed a couple of days on this beautiful property. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very informative about the local attractions and food we should try. The dinner we had was 5-star, it was prepared with local and seasonal ingredients that the chef prepared just for us. The portions were out of this world and you have to wear stretch pants to finish it all, but it's so worth it. The room was quaint, clean, and comfortable.

Well Ragalna is a a very small town with approx. 4,000 residents so groceries, super markets and restaurants are quite limited. 1 improvement would be clearing the rubbish from the side of the roads but this is not only in Ragalna. It`s a pitty such a beautiful island still has these issues. The location is very good if you`re planning to go ETNA. It`s also a good location to travel to Catania, Giardini Naxos, Taormina , Enna, Acireale and various parks with destinations no longer than 1.5-2hrs to places mentioned above.

If we had a good house then we had we should have stayed more ... ragalna is very nice and close to lot of nice places ... good restaurants and good prices .. I will definitely recommend to visit ragalna

Super stylish, modern, very and comfortable hotel. The hotel is super clean and very new. The area around the swimming pool has plenty of space for relaxation. The beds, which are Lago design, guarantee a good night sleep. The breakfast is delicious- from the best bakery in the area- and Nino makes sure his guests are happy. If you are ever visiting Ragalna, “the terrace of The Etna”, this is the place to stay.

The surrounding garden is beautiful with ample places to relax! The rooms were spacious for a family of 5. I liked the room decor in traditional Sicilian and beautifully up-cycled furniture. It gives you the warm feel of the village of Ragalna. The host family were very friendly and helpful. Angelo is always ready to help! The parking area is comfortable.

Great place in the mountains near Etna. A but hard to reach, but a lovely little hotel/B&B. Staff was beyond awesome.Everyone! Cook also outstanding, made special gluten free food for my traveling companion, went out of their way to make her stay a special one! Would not hesitate to go back if I’m traveling in that area. Restaurant on site was outstanding

What a wonderful place. Vincenzo the owner is so kind and helpful. The family room was clean, spacious and well appointed and the breakfast was great. Ragalna is very close to Etna and the B&B is within walking distance of the town qnd restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and come back.
