Porto Torres is a small town and one can think it has not much to offer. Actually, it has some very good and special restaurants and in August it hosts the “summer carnival” which is very nice. But the nicest thing about it is the logistic position ; with maximum 30 minutes driving you can reach many different beaches in any direction

We found this town a little boring.

We found this town a little boring. Although it is a perfect starting point for a ferry trip to Donkey Island (with bikes rented in town), or for an intermediate stop on a journey, but not worth spending even one full day.

Very quiet and friendly place well located for the trips in northern Sardinia but car is needed. Accommodation is rather simple but satisfying. What I can highly reccommend is the dinner which needs to be booked in advance. You will get lots of local great food to taste for very good price. It was exceptional experience. Stuff is very smily and helpful. For somebody who is looking for peaceful holidays it's absolutely perfect.

Top floor apartment on the seafront, so the view is pretty spectacular. Porto Torres seems to be a summer vacation town, and this spacious apartment would be a fun place to take the kids. Nice retro coffee machine. Very nice Lido restaurant a couple of doors away.
