Porto San Paolo is a jumping point for Tavolara island. We visited in low season (end of May) so the town was still sleepy and some business were still closed, but i am sure in the high season it becomes more lively.

Small but lively little town, with shops, markets, bars and restaurants. Nice couple of small beaches and small harbour with plenty of nautical activities available. Porto San Paolo is very well located from Olbia, which is a bigger town with plenty of activities, shops, etc as well as the airport. There is really good public transport that allows you to reach a good number of paradisiac beaches in a relative short time.

Porto San Paulo is one of the precious places we ever visited. If you are looking for peaceful place to take rest , body and soul , you found it exactly between the most popular places which are very crowded and fancy .It’s very close to the most beautiful wild beaches. Real Smaragds of Costa Esmeralda . People are polite and helpful. Especially if you had host as we had in our Villa signore Marco Manera 💪

The village is split between the main road area and the port...

The village is split between the main road area and the port. The port has ferries to Tavolara which is highly recommended. Shops and restaurants with one main supermarket on the road towards the port. Beaches are small and pebble/sand mix. Better beaches elsewhere. Expensive restaurants. We liked the takeaway pizza best. You can walk everywhere quite easily. Our main problem was restaurants not available at childrens dinner time but this is typical for Italy.

I can tell you, THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW IN SARDINIA! 🙏🌴🤩🏝️😍 Due to the elevated location you can see everything, perfectly located with the best ‘instagramable’ beaches either side within 10 minutes driving. Lovely host, very welcoming and warm with a very thoughtful and kind welcoming gift. A really big property with all the privacy you need whilst still feeling connected. WE WILL BE BACK!

The perfect place to relax, bright and cosy. The hotel and room were excellent, just as I had expected; they had everything we needed. There was also a good grocery store within walking distance. We loved the quite place in hills above the town. The swimming pool is great. The appartment has two teraces… Super beaches few minutes driving. What made our day was Gabriele, who helped us when we did not get the booked car at the airport. Most car rentals accept only credit cards, not debit! We rented a car from Domus Away, which I would do directly next time.

The room was fantastic with lots of beautiful beaches within ten minutes walk. San Paolo is a great wee town with nice places to eat. Paola could not have been more helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.
