This hotel was really amazing. A top-quality hotel. We arrived, were warmly greeted, could park the car 10 meters from the entrance. The room was spacious, very clean and nice and fresh (while outside it was near 40 degrees), the shower was brand clean and a nice mini-bar with drinks was there. The breakfast was nice - with a limited choice, but you could order additional freshly baked food (e.g bacon & scrambled eggs) from the kitchen. The location is 10 meters from the entrance to ancient Pompei - absolutely wonderful. The staff was great throughout the stay!

As I've advised people in the past, if you have the stamina, put aside a whole day or more for a Pompeii experience, and include the Naples Archeological museum and Herculaneum in your trip. Pompei is much larger than you expect it to be, and it only grows in size and wonder as the years continue. This is an enormous exhibit that you can get lost in, and never find a lack of new sights to see. No matter how long you spend there, you'll leave thinking about what you didn't get to see. I also recommend visiting the museum prior to visiting the sites, as the scale, range, and quality of the artifacts in the museum will begin to prepare you for what you are about to see onsite. I won't bother adding pictures, as there are so many already out there that you'll encounter in any effort to prepare for a visit, and they'll never truly express what you will discover with your own eyes.

The archaeological site is vast, keep track of the block numbers and you can easily dodge any large tour groups you come across and circle back to the interesting buildings. Paying the extra few quid for a full ticket and walking up to the villa de mysteries is well worth it. Ignore the touts that tell you you're going the wrong way, but don't tell them to go away or they'll gang up on you, they're scum.

Spent 2 days , could have used a 3rd but amazed at what has been unearthed since my last visit. The queue to get audio unit is the same for tickets, which if you have an online ticket is annoying as the queue was long. Once inside you need to watch your step as the flagstone are uneven, but keep your eyes open, a lot of stuff is above eye level.

Been on my bucket list since studying Classical Studies at school. It did not disappoint. Steeped in history and you get a real feel for the terror those people experienced when Vesuvius erupted. I climbed to the crater so peaceful now hard to believe it caused such destruction. Seeing the House of the Faun made my day at Pompeii. Herculaneum was as impressive but smaller and easy to navigate. Pompeii is huge and it was hot with no shade this makes getting around in the crowds a little more challenging.

Since childhood, I was fascinated with Pompei. The ruins would take a couple of days to completely absorb as the ruins are much larger than imagined from photos. The vistas were incredible. Every facet of the exploration brought new life to what was once a truly vibrant city.

I visited Pompeii in early October and whilst busy, I was reliably informed that it’s quiet compared to peak summer months. Definitely worth visiting and I’d recommend a guide if you can. So much to see and you should allow a good 3hrs+ to see the whole site. There’s a lot of walking to do and if you’re unsteady on your feet, that will limit some of the things you can see at the site. I’d also strongly recommend you take water with you. It’s hot work even in October. I also visited Herculaneum, which is much smaller but is in many ways, a better preserved site. You’ll see the second floor on many buildings. That said, you get a real feel for how big Pompeii was back in the day. Which is better? Pompeii for me based upon the sheer scale, variety of buildings and the wonder you get of how well developed the Romans were back in 79AD. I’d also say that the surroundings outside of the UNESCO World Heritage site are a whole lot better than Herculaneum.

The property was very secure and clean, modern fixtures and felt luxurious. Less than a 10 min walk to the Pompeii Ruins and in a great spot to just walk around the modern city centre. Hosts Francesco and Annamaria were wonderful and very accommodating. Recommend to anyone travelling into this part of Italy.
