The hotel was super nice, clean and confortable. The restaurant from the hotel was AMAZING! The staff was super nice, the only thing was that only one staff member spoke english but everyone was still very helpful ( you could work around it). The breakfast was also really nice. The location of the hotel for us was perfect and it was located in a small and very nice town.

Comfortable room with a balcony. View of the lake and the surrounding mountains. A room in a modern, alpine style. Spacious bathroom. The bathtub with lighting and the finnish sauna in the room are great for relaxation and a romantic getaway. Very friendly staff. The dinner was excellent and beautifully served. I suggest making a reservation because without a reservation it may not be possible to get a table. Buffet breakfast, nicely prepared. A large selection of sweets (American pancakes, pies, cakes croissants, jams, muesli.) I was a liitle bit worry about some comments, but the accommodation exceeded my expectations.

Sleepy little town in a very picturesque location, which makes it very hilly. Ideal for nature and hiking, but not a nightlife destination. After a hearty hotel breakfast and portable food for long hikes, dinner was mainly local pizza, beer and gelato, but, hey ......

Historically interesting town, once the inventor of eyeglass mass production. But now a sort of 'rust belt city' trying to remake itself. It is in a beautiful valley. Food options are more than OK. Beautiful old church.

The town is a very good access point and a place to stay if...

The town is a very good access point and a place to stay if you are planning a multi-day trip around the Dolomites. It is surrounded by mountains from all sides and is only 30-60 km away from all the major hiking trails. The town has many restaurants that are open after seven o'clock in the evening. Getting around the town is easy. The roads are narrow though so some side-streets require pedestrians to share road with the cars. This is fine, as the traffic is light.

Pieve di Cadore is a beautiful little hilltop village with exceptional views of the lake. The convenient bus network made exploring the region very easy. However, don't expect all the services of a larger town like Cortine d'Ampezzo.

Pieve is the birthplace of the great Titian and the capital...

Pieve is the birthplace of the great Titian and the capital of the Cadore region. It deserves to be better known. It is strategically located, offering easy bus access to many Dolomite towns: the Boite Valley with San Vito di Cadore and Cortina d'Ampezzo; the Centro Cadore area up to Auronzo; and the Comelico region and Sappada.

The historic center is small but very well-maintained.

The historic center is small but very well-maintained. The free admission to the main church includes Titian's Madonna and Child. The walk to Forte Ricco is lovely.

Check in was quick and easy. The balcony had amazing views, location was perfect for loads of different walks as well as a very short walk into town to many bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Beds were super comfy. The owner was very welcoming and friendly especially with our late check in time. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options. The hotel had ample parking, a nice patio to sit on in the evening as well as different lounge areas and we really enjoyed our stay here.

We are delighted with this hotel! Large spacious rooms, daily cleaning, excellent breakfast, parking and I must emphasize the very friendly staff, especially the gentleman at the reception who always knew the answer to all my questions. And most importantly for us, our two dogs stayed at no extra charge! I would always return to this hotel! 5/5

The location of the hotel is very good. Beautiful panoramic views from the restaurant and terraces. The middle-aged lady in charge of the breakfast service made us forget the unfriendly and dismissive attitude of the younger staff.
