For us it's a perfect night stop en route from Genoa Harbour heading north. 24 hour reception is excellent as we would not have made it to a different hotel we were in contact with earlier but which closed at 22:00 due to a 3 hour GNV delay. Decent breakfast... We will return very happily.

Traditional Italian hotel with quality antique furniture, paintings on the walls, and nice touches such as bottled water in the fridge (although the fridge could have been cleaner), toiletries, and the option of yellow-dimmed bedside lighting and above the bathroom mirror. Plenty of on-site parking, a good shower, comfortable bed and good bedding. Accompanied by a friendly, bustling restaurant filled with happy locals, and serving home-cooked food at sensible prices. Breakfast was fantastic - good coffee, juice, yogurts, eggs, plenty of ham and cheese, focaccia, butter, water… I was made very welcome, felt really looked after and right at home, and wish I could have stayed longer than 1 night. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. A good option if you’re driving to or from the Genoa ferry as it’s only a 40-minute drive.

A room with HUGE character. Nothing modern about this accommodation, it has so much more. It is a very old building which has been decorated and restored in a ‘period’ way. It was amazing to see how imagination and a creative flair has transformed this property into a masterpiece. Our very romantic room was decorated with murals on the walls and ceilings, vases of large roses sat aside candles in the old fireplace, the old door leading to the toilet within the room had had its glass panel painted gold with braiding around the edges, the claw bathtub in the room had beautiful gold taps and pretty curtains - so much detail that it would be impossible to describe all the little touches. It really was an experience which led us to feel we were in a fantasy bygone era. Our hostess, who spoke not a word of English, was a delight. No words were needed to feel her warmth and welcome. We had secure parking for our car on one side of the building and we walked out the other side and immediately found ourselves in the centre of the old town. These old European towns always capture our interest and Ovada did exactly that. A few paces from our apartment we ate a superb dinner at L’Antica Farinata. A very informal restaurant and setting which offered fabulous pizzas and inexpensive pricing. All in all, our stay in Ovada afforded us great memories.

Simply amazing. Hidden gem just outside Ovada up on the mountain, which provide nice views and extreme quietness. Run by wonderful people the B&B offers small houses and apartments that are scattered around the property, so it feels like you’re all by yourself in an exclusive stay. Inside the interior, custom designed for every single house, deserve an interior design award. Everything in als Cascina Bricco breaths quality and love. The breakfast was outstanding and I would drive all the way back just for breakfast, the cakes, the coffee, the eggs, the honey and the whole surrounding under the wisteria: amazing. The pool is spacious and deep on one side; loved it! By far the best place around.

I was in transit and discovered very nice down town. It has several churches on so small area, so lovely place. I was on Sunday so everything were closed but it would be nice to stroll on working day.

The hotel is located right next to the local road, very close to the highway exit, yet surrounded by nature. It has a pleasant vibe of 'traditional' inns, from the time when travelers truly enjoyed their time. The bar and the restaurant offer great food for decent prices, and the breakfast was great. The owners have a lot of animals, such as hens with chickens, ducks and goats, so the kids can enjoy their time too.

Carlo and Flavia were very welcoming, kind, and generous with their time. I had a wonderful experience in their beautiful and very comfortable home, and I will never forget my night spent in Ovada with them. I thoroughly recommend a stay here to see the beautiful area and experience wonderful hospitality. Grazie Mille xx

For us it's a perfect night stop en route from Genoa Harbour heading north. 24 hour reception is excellent as we would not have made it to a different hotel we were in contact with earlier but which closed at 22:00 due to a 3 hour GNV delay. Decent breakfast... We will return very happily.

A wonderful gem in the centre of Ovada. The welcome was so warm and friendly. Our room and the whole place so beautifully styled and individual. Very comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast.
