Loved the modern apartment. Super comfey beds and cusions. Fabio's son came to check us in and he was super nice and helpfull. There is a small supply shop next door and beautifull restaurants close by. If you are traveling to Rome it can be challenging but if the metros work its not to bad. It was also very close to the beach with great restaurants

We were in Ostia Antica Arcaelogical Park in the begin of the month and we got free tickets. If you want to explore all old city without haste, you need all day. We came at 08.30 a.m., but at 16.30 p.m. was necessary to go away. This old city is amazing. There is a lot good saved buildings and you can imagine very well how people lived, worked and enjoyed many, many years ago. You can touch and feel ancient Roman culture. I really recommend this location for visiting 😀

Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over...

Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you...

Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfy! The owner is super kind and friendly. He even dropped us off at the main city area near the accomodation so that my friend and I could get dinner. He was very helpful when we were trying to figure out how to navigate the public transport system in the area. The place was very clean and comfortable. We felt very safe and are pleased with our stay. 10/10 would recommend!

The owners was absolutely brilliant and couldn’t be helpful enough. The property was very near to the train and bus links. Also near the centre of the area with bars and restaurants and the beautiful and historic Ostia Antica ruins.
