We had an amazing stay! Everything was perfect: The house was spacious and made for a comfortable and cosy place to spend our evenings. We only stayed for two nights, but I could imagine pleasantly staying here for 2+ weeks. Fully equipped kitchen, nice shower, comfortable beds, cosy living room. I should also mention that it was spotless, I don't recall ever staying in a house this well cleaned before! The kind hosts respected our privacy but were there whenever we needed them. And finally the location: a quiet, hidden garden with citrus and pomegranate trees, all at a short taxi ride away from Fiumicino Airport and at walking distance from the incredible archeological park of Ostia Antica! Amazing! It should not come as a surprise that I fully recommend Zí Mario!

The property was very clean and very conveniently located — close to the airport, Ostia, and cultural sites. The host added many thoughtful touches to make the house feel welcoming. There was a coffee machine with coffee provided, a toy waiting next to my child’s bed, cold water in the fridge, and the aircon was switched on before our arrival, making it wonderfully comfortable after the heat in Rome. Collecting the keys was easy, and the host communicated very well and politely throughout.

Sara's place was modern, stylish, comfortable and very tidy, and Sara was a very helpful and accommodating host. The location of the apartment is excellent with interesting sights and nice restaurants just around the corner, and a quick connection to Rome only a short walk away. We were in Ostia Antica Arcaelogical Park in the begin of the month and we got free tickets. If you want to explore all old city without haste, you need all day. We came at 08.30 a.m., but at 16.30 p.m. was necessary to go away. This old city is amazing. There is a lot good saved buildings and you can imagine very well how people lived, worked and enjoyed many, many years ago. You can touch and feel ancient Roman culture. I really recommend this location for visiting 😀

Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

The place was very spacious, clean and well equipped. 3 bedrooms + a large living-room and a kitchen with enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids + your personal stuff. Vincenzo was very nice and helpful. Location is quiet and easy to access. If you arriving by car you can park it inside the property. There is a supermarket 5 min away by car, some nice restaurants nearby. 25 minutes from Fiumicino airport, 1 hour from Rome, 15-20 minutes from the nearest beach if no heavy traffic on the way.

Property was beautiful and walking distance to restaurants and Ostia Antica (which is amazing and definitely site to visit!). Entry was easy, there were packaged snacks available (which the kids loved) and had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was kind enough to help us book a taxi for our departure. Wish we stayed here longer!

Neat little 1 bedroom apartment with a little kitchenette and a well designed bathroom. Nest one so far in Italy Close to Antica Scavi and some nice eateries. We attended Sunday mass at the old cathedral next to Ostia Castle and then had a lovely al fresco dinner at l' Alimentary next door

The location was ideal to visit the Roman site of Ostia Antica. It was close to a supermarket and the town of Ostia. Train into Rome was close by. The appartment was lovely. Our host was always available to answer any queries on Whatsapp.
