Really nice place with an amazing view over the mountains. We stayed in an apartment with bedroom and kitchen with plenty of space. The small town in the mountains is very cozy and many nice hiking paths go there. The restaurant was closed on the night we were there, but the host made the shop open for us and got a friend to help us who spoke English - very nice service.

Our stay at the Albergo Esposito was great. In addition to the expected amenities and service, the host went out of his way to help us to the cable car and made our day. Would definitely be back if I'm ever back in Barzio.

The hosts Francesca en Sergio are really helpful and make you feel at home. They are the best! They facilitate the most delicious breakfast, with alot of very nice home made pastries.. The garden is outstandingly beautiful and the view from the garden is amazing.

Villa Cavallier is a beautiful b&b. The rooms and general area were spotlessly clean, furnished beautifully, warm and cosy. The beds were exceptionally comfy and the whole place is beautiful, we were blown away!

Ornica is a wonderful place!

Ornica is a wonderful place! A small town with historic alpine Italian architecture, surrounded by picturesque mountains. Plenty of walking opportunities with well marked routes. A nice little restaurant serving local dishes and a small shop provide everything a tourist might need.

This little apartment was a perfect stay to enjoy the...

This little apartment was a perfect stay to enjoy the surrounding mountains, hiking and working in the winter. Everything we needed was there and a small market was open down the street. We stayed and extra couple of days because of the snow, but still got out in the hill and had fun. We will return again! Love the mountains.

We discovered Hotel Diffuso in the heart of Ornica through booking and we were pleasantly satisfied and certainly if we were to organize a weekend in the future, we will keep this structure in mind

The bed wrecked my back.

The bed wrecked my back. We only stayed one night and now I have neck problems. I'll have to go to a physiotherapist to fix the issues I developed during my stay. You get what you pay for. It's worth spending more money and getting accommodation with a decent bed that guarantees a good night's sleep.

A very quiet village... exactly the opposite of the mountain...

A very quiet village... exactly the opposite of the mountain amusement parks that most of our Alpine villages have been transformed into to cope with the mass of holidaymakers... nothing like mass tourism... almost an Alpine ghost town...

Very beautiful historic center, pleasant and quiet village.

Very beautiful historic center, pleasant and quiet village. Beautiful trails, well-maintained although not always well-marked. Friendly and helpful people. The valleys are quite narrow: sooner or later you'll always have to climb :-) It's difficult to go on long walks on flat ground (I'm thinking of an elderly person with some mobility issues).
