Inside the oldtown, so perfect location. Really good personel and always open recepcion. Parking area! (In old town, parking is impossible but they have special area and its about 5 minutes with walking) (25 Euros/day) Really good coffee and breakfast. (Lime cake was wonderful!) If we come to Monterrosso again, we hope that to find empty room in this hotel :) Thanks,

We booked the room at the last minute as we decided to stay overnight in Monterosso. As soon as we book the room, the hotel sent me a very well detailed map on how to walk there from the train station. After a very pleasant 10 minute walk through cobblestone Street we arrived at the hotel. We were warmly greeted and the check-in process was flawless. Once we got to the room, the ductless air conditioner worked perfectly, and the room was quaint, clean and exactly what we Expected. In the morning the breakfast in the courtyard was fantastic with lots of variety, and the checkout process took only minutes. Overall, we are satisfied and would recommend to anyone who wants to move off the beach resorts and into the village.

A beautiful apartment located in the heart of Monterosso with little street noise. It is a short walk to the beach and to all shops and restaurants. The apartment is spacious and of high quality. We did not meet the staff in person, only the cleaner. She was very friendly and helpful with what we needed. The rest of the staff were easy to contact by phone and also helpful.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Piccolo Principe. Asja was amazing she was very kind and helpful and also sweet!! The room was spacious and spotless with great decor and crisp bed sheets. The apartment is also nice for it’s spot because its in the center of the village and you’re near to everything. The ambiance here is also comfortable and inviting, I highly recommend this apartment. You get what you pay for it was beyond our expectations, we would absolutely go back here!!

This is an ideal location.

This is an ideal location. It is a short walk to the train station. The included breakfast ensured we started off each day right. The staff was very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty to do in the area. Be sure to travel by train to the local destinations for great hiking and restaurants. It is a very dog friendly area

We stayed in old town, we loved the charm.

We stayed in old town, we loved the charm. We hiked to Vernazza and loved the views. Swimming in the sea was a plus. We did not expect to have the fantastic weather October 12, lucky us! We took a boat tour to all five towns on Edo Tours (highly recommend). We rode the local train to Riomaggiore and worked our way back to Monterroso, stopping in all the towns. Trains are easy to navigate. We saw people kayaking and paddle boarding, we will do that next time. We ate at Enoteca Internazionale Monterosso Al Mare and really enjoyed the pasta special and the house red wine. Oh, the wine!

The best town in Cinque Terre to stay in.

The best town in Cinque Terre to stay in. It is definitely number one of the 5. By far the best beach for family and facilities. Even has sand on the beach. Many places to eat and drink in the old town and the new town.

Best beaches to access in Cinque Terre

Best beaches to access in Cinque Terre Great selection of restaurants and food outlets for all budgets. Train station has easy access and central to the town. Access between the two areas is flat and a lovely walk. We walked between Monterosso and Vernazza - it is very steep and not an easy walk but I am so proud of myself doing it. Views are amazing. Easier on knees doing it this direction. Not so much going down hill.

Monterosso is the most liveable town in Cinque Terra.

Monterosso is the most liveable town in Cinque Terra. Much of it is comparatively flat and it has long picturesque beaches. We are 72 years old and walked the trail from Monterosso to Venazza to Corniglia in one day. It was a bit too much and we should have done it over two days. We had 3 nights and 2.5 days in CT and it was enough to do the walking and see all the sites.

By far the best of all 5 towns.

By far the best of all 5 towns. We stayed in the old part of Monterosso and it felt authentic. Much less crowded than the other towns. And much easier to navigate given that it's not all hills. Just a short stroll to the newer side of Monterosso and w plenty of eating spots to choose from.

The hotel is placed on the top of the vineyard above Monterosso. Naturally, the view is incredible. The rooms are very clean with a modern bathroom. Breakfast is incredible with excellent service (not buffet) and so many choices. The hotel also offers an hourly shuttle into town, which we never used, preferring the walk into town and back (quite some elevation and wear good shoes like sneakers or better). The remoteness guarantees a quiet night to get away from the tourist masses in Monterosso.

Perfect base for your stay in Cinque Terre. Nice quiet little hotel in the old town part of Monterosso. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast at the Lemon Terrace was amazing; Lots of choices and unique atmosphere and view.
