What a lovely hotel, all staff were very friendly, room was great size, bed comfortable. We stayed on 4th floor, this was fine for us but elevator only goes to 3rd floor, so request lower floors if can't do stairs. Access to breakfast is also from 4th floor. Breakfast is amazing however as everyone has commented, flies are very annoying although they do their best to try and lessen this. We sat outside in Lemon Grove most evenings after dinner and it was a lovely quiet spot.

The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom had everything that you need: shampoo, shower gel, soap, towels, hairdryer. The room was close to the supermarket and to the beach. The host was really helpful and gave a lot of details.

Love the location of the apt. It’s so convenient and best of all - no stairs that we need to manoeuvre with our heavy luggages from train to apt. The place is ~8 min walk from train station and a short distance away from old town and hiking trail. A stone throw away from the beach. Safe for lady to walk even in the night. The apt is clean. Comes with towels, toiletries and coffee as described. Owner is very responsive and gave clear instruction on how to get to apt. Highly recommend!

Unbeatable location, exceptionally clean and feels like it’s been freshly renovated. Only thing was the check in time is on the late side. Although the good thing is storage was provided when check in was not yet ready. I was surprised how good the sound insulation was as it’s located at a great centralized location but it was still wonderfully quiet once you’re inside.

What a cozy, welcoming and comfortable apartment. We loved our stay here with our two little boys. The checkin was easy as we could pick up our keys across the street from a shop. The location was lovely - in the middle of restaurants, shops and cafe's but without the noise. The bed was very comfy, the balcony was lovely to sit on and we enjoyed the modern bathroom and kitchen. It was a perfect place to spend a night.

This is an ideal location.

This is an ideal location. It is a short walk to the train station. The included breakfast ensured we started off each day right. The staff was very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty to do in the area. Be sure to travel by train to the local destinations for great hiking and restaurants. It is a very dog friendly area

We stayed in old town, we loved the charm.

We stayed in old town, we loved the charm. We hiked to Vernazza and loved the views. Swimming in the sea was a plus. We did not expect to have the fantastic weather October 12, lucky us! We took a boat tour to all five towns on Edo Tours (highly recommend). We rode the local train to Riomaggiore and worked our way back to Monterroso, stopping in all the towns. Trains are easy to navigate. We saw people kayaking and paddle boarding, we will do that next time. We ate at Enoteca Internazionale Monterosso Al Mare and really enjoyed the pasta special and the house red wine. Oh, the wine!

The best town in Cinque Terre to stay in.

The best town in Cinque Terre to stay in. It is definitely number one of the 5. By far the best beach for family and facilities. Even has sand on the beach. Many places to eat and drink in the old town and the new town.

Best beaches to access in Cinque Terre

Best beaches to access in Cinque Terre Great selection of restaurants and food outlets for all budgets. Train station has easy access and central to the town. Access between the two areas is flat and a lovely walk. We walked between Monterosso and Vernazza - it is very steep and not an easy walk but I am so proud of myself doing it. Views are amazing. Easier on knees doing it this direction. Not so much going down hill.

Monterosso is the most liveable town in Cinque Terra.

Monterosso is the most liveable town in Cinque Terra. Much of it is comparatively flat and it has long picturesque beaches. We are 72 years old and walked the trail from Monterosso to Venazza to Corniglia in one day. It was a bit too much and we should have done it over two days. We had 3 nights and 2.5 days in CT and it was enough to do the walking and see all the sites.

By far the best of all 5 towns.

By far the best of all 5 towns. We stayed in the old part of Monterosso and it felt authentic. Much less crowded than the other towns. And much easier to navigate given that it's not all hills. Just a short stroll to the newer side of Monterosso and w plenty of eating spots to choose from.

A wonderful small hotel located in the heart of Monterosso with a very tasty breakfast on the terrace included. Everything is within easy walking distance including the train station. They have a restaurant associated with the hotel just down the road, reservations are recommended.
