It was the best location, the balcony (we had two) were big and had a great view at the Cathedral. It was easy to find the parking after instructions and also to take the local bus to Palermo. Communications were smooth. Monreale is beautiful.

Location is tops, we arrived on time as per our notice to the host, Alessandro and he helped us locate street parking swiftly. We had been driving and travelling all day and the room was quite welcoming and spotless. We showered immediately and headed out for dinner. We could enjoy a glass of wine on both nights as we didn't have to drive to our accommodation. We went for a walk around and couldn't help but notice how the residential areas had clean streets and pavements. The linen at the apartment was soft and fresh smelling, the AC was welcoming and the host kindly provided complimentary bottled water and coffee and tea.... Small touches that are appreciated until you find a general store which we discovered on the way back from the piazza. The interior decorator is modern but unmistakably Sicilian. This was a good location for our day in Cefalu/Palermo. We opted to have our dinners in Monreal. Plenty of choices and the people dress up and go out and are very social. We also noted lots of pizza boxes coming out as takeaway from a nearby takeout pizzeria, no dine in but super popular with the locals. Zia Lia. The apartment is well equipped with utensils and there's also a big fridge/freezer. Highly recommended, the rooms are on the first floor and there's is no lift, so not accessible for people with mobility issues, 10/10 from us.

We had an amazing time at this lovely home. The hosts were the most friendly and welcoming Italians we met on our trip :) They mainly speak Italian but with a bit of English and French non problemo! They were always happy to help with recommendations, which made us feel very much like 'at home'. The location is super convenient too, just a 7-10min walk up to the cathedral, maybe 10mins to the bus stop going into Palermo, and a few minutes to the next supermarket. Breakfast was certainly a highlight, sitting outside on the patio with fresh pastries. We stayed in the 'pink' room, which has an amazing terrace overlooking the valley. Overall highly recommended, such a lovely place, would certainly come again! Grazie mille!!

We had an amazing time here in Monreale. The house is in a very good position, a few steps from the square and the Duomo. Bed is comfortable, terrace and balcony are amazing. Neighbours are very friendly and helpful, too. We felt like we were at home.

The Duomo is exceptional and a must-see, but this is also...

The Duomo is exceptional and a must-see, but this is also the main draw-back in that very shortly after opening in the morning it is heaving with tour parties. Evenings are very pleasant as very few tourists stay there. It is also very handy for day trips to Palermo, although as the bus service seems to have been reduced since I was there 9 years previously, I ended up having to drive to the city, which is not exactly stress-free!

The cathedral is one of the finest in Sicily and is a must visit. The complex is beautiful and can be viewed from the top level of the cathedral. Exquisite embroidered vestaments and silverware, accessories and ceramics are displayed on different levels of the staircase. The village is quaint with good restaurants.

Lots to visit, but our timing was terrible and it was raining. The cathedral is a must, but we didn't arrive in time before they closed. Same with the other museums. The city is walkable and there are lots of cute restaurants. You really need a full day there to appreciate.

Monreale is a city built on the side of the mountain, so be...

Monreale is a city built on the side of the mountain, so be prepared to walk up hills and stairs! The big attraction there is the Duomo in the main square which is just beautiful in the inside as the artwork is done in gold! You will have to pay an entrance fee, but it is worth it. The streets can be a bit of challenge to navigate as there are street vendors, cars, vespas, bicycles and pedestrians all trying maneuver through the narrow streets. Monreale gives you a beautiful view of Palermo and the ocean.

We spent only an afternoon here, but so glad that we included it on our trip. The cathedral was the most beautiful we had seen on our trip to Italy - we also visited ones in Palermo, Cefalu, and Catania. There were several interesting restaurants on side streets near the town center and we found a lovely ceramic/mosaic shop just off the central square. Views were amazing and it was an easy car ride to the airport for our departure the next day.

Beppe and his wife were charming and friendly hosts, who provided helpful advice and assistance negotiating the steep driveway, and taking our bags up the many stairs. For us, the challenge of getting up the drive was more than offset by having secure off-street parking. The apartment is quirky but spacious and comfortable with everything you might need. The view over the Conca d'Oro is breathtaking. It is a short walk up a gentle slope to Monreale, and the bus into Palermo stops just outside.

It was a lovely combination of old and new school. Beautiful quiet setting, lots of trees. Beautiful terrace overlooking spectacular views. Even had a pony and turtles. We stayed in a spacious, comfortable and chic room with a balcony that overlooked Monreale and Palermo. It’s Run by a lovely family who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious with the majority of the produce all homemade. Looking forward to returning again. Highly recommend.

Everything about our stay here was perfect! The apartment is in the heart of the Monreale. We left our car in Piazza Giuseppe Fedele as advised by the host, and it was a great choice as the parking is free from 20:00 until the morning. The apartment and its facilities are well-kept and also very clean and cozy. We loved Monreale and everything about this place. We definitely recommend staying here!

The room itself was good in terms of size, facilities and comfort. There was a good explanation of how to find the property and check in. It was about 4.5km to drive to Monreale Cathedral. Nice lady. I suggest less variety of food for breakfast but fresher, quality choices.
