We had a beautiful spacious room, and we enjoyed relaxing on our balcony, admiring the view of the old city. Great location: central and very easy to access by car, while also quiet and peaceful. Antonio was a very welcoming host and gave us great advice.

Wonderful hotel. Quiet location. Free parking in front of the hotel - easy to park the car. The staff at the reception very kind. All areas of the hotel are very clean. The room had a generous terrace, on the top floor, with folding beds on which to rest in the sun. The bottle of mineral water in the room is free. Breakfast, even if it was repeated every day (we stayed for 5 days), was varied and good: cheeses, salami and ham, boiled eggs, the famous Italian tarts and cannoli, besides other brioches, pastry, fruits, etc. The food at dinner was very good (we really liked the fritura di gamberi e calamari, the beef steak, caponatina) accompanied of course, by the special Italian-Sicilian wines. They have also an excellent local beer. A special mention for the head of the restaurant and his young team, very friendly, attentive to the guests, professional - we thank them very much for making pleasent our stay.

Modica is a very old town on South-east Sicily, quite important for her history and baroque architecture. Getting around is easy, if you like to walk a lot! There are a lot of stairs and climbings to get to Modica Alta, but it's worth. Food is very good and there are still restaurants with good prices. From Modica you can reach the beach in half an hour by car, and you can also visit several good natural spots (like Riserva Naturale di Pantalica, Cavagrande, Vendicari) just driving one/two hours. Good craftwork as well, especially ceramics.

Modica is a must-see if you are visiting the south of Sicily...

Modica is a must-see if you are visiting the south of Sicily. The rich architecture majestically adorns the hills that surround the centre. The quaint streets and stunning views are simply idyllic. We were lucky enough to visit during the Easter festivities which really highlight the spirit of Sicilian culture. You are spoilt for choice with restaurants - wherever you go the food is exquisite and the service is warm and friendly.

Modica is really cleaned and has beautiful big streets.

Modica is really cleaned and has beautiful big streets. We could visit it just by walking around. Everything was close: shops, restaurants, train station. It's family friendly. Their specialty is the meat chocolate. They have a Bubble Tea shop.

Modica is a good base to visit not only the town itself, but...

Modica is a good base to visit not only the town itself, but also the other nearby Baroque towns in the area - Ragusa, Noto and other smaller less well-known towns. It is a smaller town and appears to be less busy than the others - parking is easier for example and there is a good urban bus service (Modica is a hill town!).

Itria Modica owner really helped with choice of a restaurant on busy Saturday night. Ragusa Ibla and Modica were both interesting and quite contrasting visits. Particularly loved the hotel....views amazing and pure quality at an affordable price

Modica town is quaint and has lots to offer to the tourist.

Modica town is quaint and has lots to offer to the tourist. It can best be explored on foot though you will need a car to go from Modica alta to the lower area of Modica. Modica has many churches and eateries as well as shops and the narrow streets are fascinating and always offering lovely surprises. It is a hilly town so not ideal for the elderly tourst to get around unless they get a taxi

This small elegant but casual hotel was perfect for our 5 day stay in lovely Modica. The views of Modica from our room, the breakfast room, and all areas of the hotel including the swimming pool and decks were spectacular. All staff were very friendly and helpful and contributed to our stay. The breakfast was very good and served in an airy room again with the same wonderful view. We would definitely recommend staying at the Atria overlooking Modica.

Located in the centre of Modica, this beautiful apartment has a lovely balcony with a stunning view of corso Umberto and Saint George’s Cathedral. The area is quiet, with good restaurants and shops, easy parking nearby. Ideal to discover Modica and this amazing side of Sicily. The owners are very helpful, lovely family.

Everything was perfect! The room was nice, spacious, pretty and the bathroom was amazing The bed is very comfortable, and it's quiet. Best night I had in Sicily Breakfast is good, you can park your car in the house I 100% recommend
