I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could have asked for. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I enjoyed peaceful, restful nights throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning pool area. The pool itself was crystal clear, the perfect temperature, and large enough to enjoy a relaxing swim at any time of day.

The hotel amidst the orange and lemon orchard is a true oasis and the most gentle staff takes care of every need. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast and dinner, lunch is available also at pool side. The active Etna could be seen puffing whilst we were relaxing at the pool. My stay at Monaci delle Terre Nere was truly exceptional. This is a paradise on the slopes of Etna amidst the lush Sicilian countryside, the property exuded tranquillity and charm. I can't say enough about attentive service, gourmet meals sourced from their own organic garden, exceptional collection of art, fantastic wine tasting and cooking class.... and the sleep. i travel around the world a lot - this is one of THE best places to sleep and simply enjoy time at the hotel. and time here is sweet and slow, just like local honey.

Nice and helpful personel and a lovely dog Bianca. View on Etna and the sea is stunning. They have the best white wine we ever tasted made from their own grapes. Dinner and breakfast are good, also their red wine collection is great. Beds were bit hard and pool was chilly, that was the only 'downside'. If you want to explore the Etna, ask Antonio about the tour from Francesco, worth every penny.

Great location for visiting Etna National Park.

Great location for visiting Etna National Park. Short distance from cablecar that takes you up the mountain; we recommend paying for the van ride to go up farther than the cablecar because that portion includes a guide who shows you interesting things about the volcano, including fumaroles and the Valle del Bove lava valley. (We found this activity to be very interesting and enjoyable, although expensive. Do Not Leave Any Valuables in your car in the cablecar parking lot.) The town is very small - one grocery store and only 1 restaurant, but it's a good one: The 4 Arches (Quattro Achi) - very popular, reservations recommended, but only open for dinner Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner Sat and Sunday. The climate is a lot cooler in Milo than on the coast -- a welcome change. The roads are usually narrow and at times extremely steep. Underfoot is all crunchy volcanic rock and ash. We went on a hike to find an ancient oak tree -- the Ilice di Carrinu.

What a beautiful property in such a beautiful little village near Etna. It was just what we needed as r&r after busy Taormina. We were supposed to climb Etna, and this would have been the perfect location to do that. The staff went above and beyond for us with making us feel welcome, and the breakfast was absolutely superb, made by themselves. We loved, loved, loved this place. Couldn’t recommend it anymore.

The peaceful atmosphere, the stunning setting, and the fabulous views. An ideal location to access Mount Etna and unwind afterwards. The hosts' kindness was truly special. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was delicious, and the white wine was outstanding. The ground floor room is simply perfect, with an excellent bed and a personal sound system — such a great idea!

Beautiful view from the rooftop terrace, with Mount Etna in one direction and the sea in the other. It's in a quiet, secluded location, with no disturbance from neighbors. Clean, spacious rooms, easy parking. Adriana (the host) was very kind and helpful.

The property was exceptionally clean and equipped with everything you need. It is very close to the centre of Milo, just walking distance and is right next door to a great restaurant. Salvatore is also really nice and extremely helpful.
