The staff were incredibly friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was just superb, with freshly baked cakes, fresh fruit and a selection of bread and brioche and home made jams. The hotel just oozes atmosphere because it used to be a wine estate. Signs of this era are visible everywhere. We stayed just one night and booked a basic room, but it was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

Toremare suite was excellent, great location, great staff very helpful and friendly. There's a great balcony at the rear of the property overlooking a lake with over 20 species of birds including flamingo! It was right next to countless restaurants but quiet and relaxed! A real treat! The suite was spotlessly clean! By far the best place we stayed in sicily!

A Livanti offered us a superior clean room with all amenities and also only 700 mt to the center by walking. Owners met us to deliver the key around 20:30 , so easy , and explained the breakfast place. It is so clever to arrange the breakfast by dealing a nice Cafe in the center, we liked a lot morning walking. The bed is really comfortable and the bathroom is really big enough and full of light …This young couple and their place really worth 10.

Ideal location, very friendly hosts and great breakfast. We loved the love for food. They know their products very well and serve high quality food for the breakfast. Their home made jams where something. Home made cookies also very well put together. Perfect combinations. If you wanted something else for breakfast it was also possible, but for us the buffet was already more then we needed. Also the place is Very kids friendly. At last, the room was way bigger than we expected and seeing the flamingo s from our balcony was super. Our kids loved it. Thank you!

We went just out of season, so it wasn't too busy, but the size of the car park told us that this place gets extremely busy in high season. It is quite a small seaside town so I would imagine it is very crowded very quickly! There are lots of places to eat, but I would advise using trip advisor to select somewhere not too over priced.

A lovely little holiday resort with lots of restaurants at reasonable prices. We were delayed but still managed to get a takeaway pizza at nearly 1am. Cyclops cafe/bar is excellent for breakfast pastries and coffee. The ice-cream parlour is a must at any time. You need a car to get around as we never saw a bus and there are no large supermarkets or bakers. So many lovely beaches nearby, our favourite was Lido Marghello where the sand is soft going into the sea and no rocks or seaweed. San Lorenzo is a nice beach too but the fancy cafe serves lukewarm coffee.

The picturesque fishing village of Marzmemi is surely worth a visit. There are many restaurants in the square and along the quay. We visited both during the day and in the evening and the atmosphere was lovely. Food was good and fish was fresh.

Marzamemi is a small but charming medieval town on the Ionian coast. It's a Unesco-listed town, and rightly so: 500-year-old houses flank a picturesque square full of life, delicious food and fine wine. The surrounding beaches attract both active swimmers and families with children to swim and relax. A beautiful pearl on the southern coast of Sicily - well worth a visit!

Having no knowledge of this place at all before arrival, initially it seemed a bit of a dump (we arrived from the north and couldn't find the way initially). Once we figured out you had to park in the residential area and walk to the village itself, we liked it a lot more! Many interesting shops (Campisi and Adelfio, for tuna, pistacchio, anchovy and tomato products) and lovely little restaurants and eating places near the fishing port. It was busy for a Saturday night in late October, but I dread to think how mobbed it gets in July - August, when I see the huge fields used for parking! I'd say avoid high season, apparently you can't get into restaurants and have to fight your way along the main street.

Marzamemi is a pretty little town, especially around the harbour and town square. It appears to hold several cultural events. A Book Festival was being held at the time of our visit, with specific activities for children. And, there were posters about a Film Festival that had been held in September. However a good understanding of Italian would be required to attend these events. The bars and restaurants are mainly around the harbour and in the town square. They offered a variety of meals, mainly seafood as Marzamemi is/was a fishing village. The prices were all very similar, €15 - €20 for a main course, as was the quality. The harbour offers the best photo opportunities especially at sunset. Marzamemi is close to a coastal park area, you will need transport as I did not see any local buses, which gives you the opportunity to watch a variety of bird species including flamingos! There are ancient ruins and an abundance of wild plants. A fascinating area. As this area is very open I recommend you wear a hat. Also, there are a couple of shaded spots with cafe/bistro and seats.

I loved this place. It is very clean and well decorated. The staff is so welcoming and the breakfast is just delicious. The swimming pool is clean and the beach is just around the corner. To go to the centre we usually take the car and it is just 5 minutes away from it, which is nice, so then you can sleep in a quiet area.

Lovely place with a very friendly host. With the car you can reach some lovely beaches within five minutes, as well as the fishing village Marzamemi. The veranda is pleasant and you havea good view of the sunrise over the ocean (if you want to get up that early). The apartment is well equiped.

Location, location and again location. In our opinion the best location in Marzamemi. 1 minutes from the Marzamemi’s famous square, 2-3 minutes from other shops and restaurants, 5 minutes walking to the parking area, 10 minutes walking to the very beautiful and long sandy beach.
