Tranquil environment. very clean. I think we had a room with a new bathroom. At least everything was new. Breakfast really good. Not too many options but for me perfect. Fresh food. It is a pictoresque little city without many tourists.

It is a pictoresque little city without many tourists. There are various restaurants and little beaches. It feels Italian in a wonderful relaxed way. The public transport by boat is great for visiting other cities around the lake and leaving the car behind. Returning from "hot spots" like Bellagio or Varenna always felt like a relief.

We walked around the area, went to the grocery store, went down to the lake, walked around the city along the lake. We chose restaurants based on our favorite Italian rule: go where the locals go. Luckily, there are very few tourists in Mandello, so it was easy to find good places with tasty and cheap food. We moved around the city on foot. You have to take into account that the city is located at the base of a mountain, and part of the time you have to walk uphill.

A wonderful lakeside village, with a fantastic Moto Guzzi museum and tour, away from the hustle and bustle of Bellagio, a true gem in Lake Como. Wonderful people everywhere, including the Mamma Ciccia, the Osteria Colombo. Concerts in the piazza outside our apartment and a wonderful village life experience.

We loved it there it there. Harbour accessible for ferries. Not as touristy as some place. We enjoyed just sitting on benches in the shade reading our books. We mainly catered for ourselves. I'm dairy free and my partner is veggie, we found it difficult to find somewhere to just have a simple meal that wasn't pizza or a bit pricey. The train station is 7 - 10 mins away although there is a bus replacement service til September buses every 15 mins so not too bad.

Loved Mandello. It is a fantastic location.

Loved Mandello. It is a fantastic location. This charming village offers plenty to do and is perfect for scenic walks along the lake or through the park. It's less touristy than the more well-known towns, which gives it an authentic, local feel. Restaurants, cafes, a big supermarket, free parking. We visited in mid May and it was amazing. Thank you! Looking forward to being back!

I really liked the location, although it is a challenge to get to the hotel on foot. (We took a taxi from the centre to the hotel. 15€,+39 340 738 3087 text whatsapp) Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, the prices are good because the view is perfect Breakfast quite rich. I definitely recommend a visit to the church, visible from the terrace (2,5-3km)

We had a wonderful stay in Mandello del Lario and Silvia is the kindest host! The accommodation is great with all the essentials and more, and the view is exceptional. We had everything we needed and wanted. It was really easy to discover the surroundings of lake Como from here. We would love to come back here one day. Great accommodation to use as a base for visiting other places on Lake Como. Mandello del Lario itself is very tiny, but cute, and offers the possibility of hikes. The accommodation was spacious, equipped with the necessary stuff. It was also warm, and some rooms have great views of the mountains. Communication was also good! I would recommend it!

Beautiful location in a middle of old town on a shore of Lake Como. We could enjoy view of lake just with one step from our room that led straight in to the street. Very cosy and chill hotel with nice restaurant. Breakfast was small but with good selection with something for everyone.
