Hotel Ping Pong in Lido di Ostia was an absolute delight! The highlight of our stay was the fantastic terrace with its breathtaking sea view. Watching the sunset from there each evening, while sipping our favorite drinks, was pure magic and became a cherished part of our daily routine. The breakfast was lovely, with a good variety of options to start the day right. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. The location, right by the sea, is perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the ambiance of the hotel makes it a wonderful choice for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Lido di Ostia. Bellavista is a very beautiful property that has an outdoor seating area, is steps away from the beach, and offers daily cleaning. The property also offers breakfast daily. The front desk is available 24/7 and was always pleasant! The hotel is centrally located in Ostia, which is roughly 15min by car from Rome. There are restaurants and small grocery stores walking distance from the hotel, as well.

Boat was clean. We have three kids 8 ,7, 3 and they loved it. Everyone slept very well. The owner was brilliant and very helpful with food and taxi's. We only stayed one night but it would make a fantastic base to see Rome for a few days. Highly recommend.

We loved Lido de Ostia.

We loved Lido de Ostia. It was coastal yet only 30 mins from Rome on the metro. Very cheap too which is important. Lovely patisserie everywhere! Highly recommend. Plenty of restaurants and pizzeria. Amazing pizzas!

I don't think many people think of "going to the beach" in...

I don't think many people think of "going to the beach" in Rome, but it's only about 30 minutes away and costs $1.50 by public transit. The town itself is a little slow when not in high beach season, but there are loads of restaurants and shops to keep you busy if the beach isn't your thing. Public transport is great. And, you can visit incredible recently unearthed Roman Ruins of Ostia Antica very easily.

It safe to walk at night, the ocean breeze is awesome, the pavement needs to be fixed, rolling a suitcase was not fun. getting there took sometime past nine pm on a friday night no more train.....when the busses was packed, Everything else in Lido di Ostia is awesome, everyone should visit.

sandy nice beach and restaurants just next to the apartment, easy connection to Rome, clean and cosy apartment to have a nice holiday, enjoyed. Vey attentive host, kindly helped us to book a direct transfer from airport as it was almost midnight when we arrived.

The place is very unusual, there are mostly local guests of various profiles, sometimes you can feel unsafe even though there is a lot of police and the streets are lit. The center is small but nice and organized, there is a lot of good and cheap food. The great thing is that it is well connected to Rome, the train goes every 15 minutes and in 20 minutes you are in Rome, which is many times more expensive in every sense than Lida di Ostia. Lovers of good beaches and the sea will not be impressed because the sea is shallow and you cannot swim in the depths because stone barriers have been installed, so all you have to do is splash around in the shallows, which are mostly cloudy because the beach is sandy. There is really a lot of garbage on the streets.

The location of this hotel is simply the best you can get. And I guess in 1968 (when they built it) it was easier to get such a spot practically on the beach and meters from the center. Breakfast is decent and typical for lower category hotels in Italy (and maybe for some higher category too). The property is well maintained, nothing fancy, but clean and everything working well. Staff is very helpful and nice.

A small and cozy hotel that has clearly seen better days, but is clean and charming nonetheless. Excellent location close to the city center, with the beach and sea just across the road. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a rich selection of breakfast options.

This hotel was in a great position, right on the beach. We just had a 1 night stay before our long-haul flight home. Had dinner in a lovely restaurant across the road from the hotel. It was delicious.
