I loved everything about the place the people cannot do enough to help, breakfast is all home made jams cakes juices with produce from the property by Francesca. The rooms are large and well appointed and extremely clean modern enough while remaining authentic and their local knowledge was amazing. The place is really nice, the most beautiful after weeks so far. We got upgraded so cannot comment about the regular rooms but the suite with the balcony is really nice. Close to everything in Malfa.

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to...

Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop,one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.

Mariella and Carlos are friendly and obliging hosts and their home is an historic house with a special history and unique charm that's been in the family for generations. It was a pleasure to meet them. Leni is a little village and one gets to know the locals a bit in a short time. I ate at a new little kitchen close by run by Enzo and it was homely and delicious. The local wines are wonderful and the capers and lemons! There are some lovely walks nearby. I would love to stay longer.

A quaint hotel in a beautiful area of the island, Rinella. Very tranquil and relaxing. Monica, Rosa and Marco were exceptional with doing as much as they can for you to make your stay at their impeccably clean hotel, a great one. Monica's home made goodies added a special touch to the breakfast on the terrace with a great view! Highly recommend Hotel Principe di Rinella.

This is a fantastic hotel, with incredible views over the Med and Mount Etna in the distance. Everything was beautiful: immaculate rooms, open balconies, the light, surroundings, village of Leni, nature and the hospitality was amazing. Truly recommended, we'd like to come back. Easy central location to travel around Salina using public transport.

We absolutely loved this gorgeous hotel. A beautiful room with balcony. Lovely breakfast with a spectacular view. Staff were welcoming and friendly with helpful recommendations. Go to Pa Pe Ro al Glicine restaurant. And for the beach - make sure you have beach shoes!
