Wonderful little hotel with a personal touch. Paola and Dario are fabulous. The property had a lovely pool and a thermal pool as well to spend a lazy morning or two in.

The staff made our stay unforgettable. Salvatore and the entire team were warm, attentive, and professional. Daniella prepared us a dinner one night that was truly exceptional...fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully done. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of charming Sant'Angelo, with amazing restaurants just steps away. Our room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, and having breakfast on our private terrace each morning was a nice touch. The attention to detail throughout the hotel, from the design to the service, was impeccable.

Staff were amazing - so friendly. Offer a cheap and delicious home-made dinner every night. Would recommend to anyone! ABout a 20 minute walk into Sant Angelo. Bus stop right outside the accommodation.

Waking up to that view was amazing! Also the fact that you can wake up and jump straight in the sea. The pasta was also amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The only thing, is that during our time there it was hard to get to the hotel. But once we knew we had to walk through the water to get there, we actually enjoyed the little adventure :) we travelled with our two children (5 and 7 years old). Staying at the Aragonese Castle was an unforgettable experience – one that words can hardly capture. I have loved this place ever since I first stepped inside, and on my sixth visit I finally had the chance to stay overnight. Experiencing the castle after dark was truly magical. From our balcony, we enjoyed breathtaking views over Ischia Porto, and our room was both beautiful and wonderfully comfortable. Another highlight was access to the private gardens, normally closed to the public but open to overnight guests. They are absolutely enchanting, and wandering through them felt like discovering a hidden treasure. Breakfast was also outstanding – fresh, high-quality ingredients and flavors that left us speechless. This place has completely captured our hearts. In fact, during our stay here we even got engaged, making it all the more special. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the unforgettable memories – we cannot wait to return.

Hotel Casa Sofia was an incredible stay! Christian (hotel owner) was amazing - he was so flexible with a late checkout and helped us reserve a cab for our ferry home. The room was clean and had a beautiful ocean view and a well-working AC. Breakfast was served on a lovely patio with ocean views. The location was within walking distance of two beaches and the nearest thermal baths. Book now!

This charming, family-run hotel goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, catering to every guest’s needs, from personalized recommendations to accommodating special dietary requests. We had dinner included and food was also amazing, with typical recipes from Naples and Ischia. Both meat and fish dishes were served every other day. The hotel’s covered thermal pool is the perfect retreat, especially on rainy days. Located just a few meters from a public transport stop, it’s well-connected by Circular lines and Line 1, which offers frequent trips to Ischia port. The area boasts breathtaking surroundings, including a scenic 15-minute walk to the picturesque Sant’Angelo peninsula and easy access to the stunning Cavagrado beach nearby. During our stay, the small village of Succhivo (where the hotel is located) had loads of celebrations with fireworks and a stunning concert. Our bed was very comfortable and I would fall asleep in just a few minutes every day (and sleep like a baby 👶 ). Also, almost every other guest was a returning guest. I guess this last line says it all.

Kind, welcoming and helpful host in Ernesto. Attentive and informative, making sure that you were enjoying your stay, being very patient with my terrible Italian, suggesting places to go and things to see and even taking time to explain the humble beginnings of the hotel and his family’s involvement. Getting to the hotel very straight forward, despite being opposite the main ‘hubs’ of the island, owing to the excellent public transport. Room very comfortable with all of the basic amenities, cleaned to a high standard every morning whilst you dine on the excellent breakfast in the beautiful gardens. My visit was the end of April/beginning of May, so for the majority of my stay it felt like I was the only guest! Maronti Beach on the south side of the island felt similarly deserted. This is no criticism, it was absolutely perfect for me but worth mentioning for other guests that may want more hustle and bustle or for other solo travellers who may feel uncomfortable. I won’t put it in the negatives because it’s absolutely understandable, but dinner wasn’t served for the duration of my stay (one week). A slight disappointment as I had heard very good things about the dinners but, as explained by Ernesto, servings don’t start until higher season when it can be justified. To clarify, the booking was for B & B, so I can’t complain. I will definitely return to experience the food. There are plenty of excellent food options a very short walk from the hotel, along the beach front, so nothing lost ultimately. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for my first visit to this amazing part of the Word, one I hope to return to.

A beautiful island with a range of personal experiences that made our vist unique. Everyone we met was so friendly and we enjoyed all of our time on the island. We did find the roads very narrow and different to drive with a hire car. Th thermal pools at Poseidon were outstanding. We visited in mid-October and found that the island was in the process of shutting down for the off season. Despite this, we are now missing the fabulous family run restaurants and quiet hotel. Would love to go back and visit again.

One of the best places I've been.

One of the best places I've been. Everything was wonderful from beaches to restaurants to views. We took advantage of the local bus service to get to S. Angelo in 2 directions. The rides were unbelievable. Will hire a scooter next time.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem. Not many tourists there this time of year (october). We loved Poseidon. The town Sant'Angelo was beautiful! The Marina/beach and restaurants nearby was very quaint and clean.

We spent 1 week in Ischia, good time to go around the island. We used only the local bus which have an impressive service, better than most big cities in Europe! Nice hiking. Nice beaches and warm enough in mid October to take a bath. Some have hot spring. Cute tiny streets, but unfortunately without space for sidewalks: the 2 and 3-wheelers are loud and stinky and deteriorate the whole experience. Ischia could be a paradise with only electrical vehicles! We see more and more fat e-bike, I wish for the island they will reduce and transform their car & scooter rental...

Positone Spa a great day.

Positone Spa a great day. St Angelo town quaint and beautiful. Garden Mortella stunning on a sunny day. Castle in Ischua Porte good. Bus transportation excellent, buses every 10 minutes, you can pay onboard. Use app Rio to Rome, excellent for travel information all around the world. Tip for travelling alone, lunch instead of dinner. Eat outside instead of dinning inside, bring a book with you. Once you begin travelling alone, the world is your oyster!!!

Getting around easy using bus line, but can get crowded so allow time, recommend doing a boat/snorkel tour, also visit the castle. Ate at Wine Cave at Poseidon Thermal Gardens, recommend if visit Gardens. Also recommend Bella Napoli in Forio for dinner.

We loved Hotel Ambasciatori. Our welcome from Mario was so warm and friendly. Our room was lovely and breakfast was superb. Philippe arranged a car hire for us which was so easy and excellent value for money. All hotel staff were very friendly. close (but not too close) to the main facilities in Ischia Port. A wonderful base for touring this lovely Island. Cant wait to go back and will use this hotel as a base for touring the whole island. spa area was a lovely surprise!

The hotel is very unique and beautifully decorated. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Upon arrival the hotel owner explained where to find the best beach, the good restaurants etc. Much appreciated! The hotel lies close to Porto d’Ischia. You will also have fairly easy access to the other main parts of the island since there is a bus station nearby.

The hotel was clean, staff were super friendly and accommodating, the outdoor thermal pools were amazing (swim cap is enforced which you can buy at reception), beautiful well kept gardens, with lots of places to sit. Fabulous choices for breakfast. Hotel is in a quiet location so no road noise, only 10 min walk to Ischia Ponte, 25 min walk to Ischia Porto.

Lovely spacious villa 10 minute walk into Ischia Ponte. Spotlessly clean and very quiet. Perfect location for relaxing. Francesco is very easy to communicate with and very helpfully organised taxis for our arrival and departure which I would recommend as the villa is tucked away.
