We were amazed by unique hospitality of our hosts. They were friendly when we arrived an hour late. It was easy to communicate in English. What took our breath away was how wonderful the hosts were to our little daughter who had her birthday the next day. Grazie mile! The breakfast was excellent. The rooms and beds and the whole hotel are very modern and comfortable. It was a real treat to stay for 1 night and we wish we could stay longer. We definitely recommend this accomodation 100%. Just superhosts:).

The owner already expected us when we arrived by bike after WhatsApp contact before. We could safely park our bikes in the court yard. The appartment is very clean and convenient, exactly like in the pictures. The owners are very nice and helpful, they even found a solution when we missed returning a key.

Gemona del Friuli is a gem between the mountains and the river Tagliamento. It's a great location for lovers of hiking, biking, paragliding and other sports. I spend time in Gemona every time I come back to Italy. It's one of my favorite spots in the Alps. The people are friendly and happy.

The area is scenically stunning and offers plenty of variety. It's a beautiful region for hiking and cycling, and also provides numerous opportunities for swimming and relaxing by the water. Not overrun with tourists, you can quickly find quiet spots where you can unwind and recharge.

A pleasant town; the castle is worth a trip.

A pleasant town; the castle is worth a trip. Parking can be a problem. Other than that, nothing special. There are a few gas stations, and in IP they even had 98-octane gasoline, which is quite difficult to find in Italy. Besides Lidl, there's also a decent ALDI.

I am really sorry that I cannot say anything about the...

I am really sorry that I cannot say anything about the surroundings and visiting restaurants. I arrived at the apartment after 700 km in the evening,, and at the age of 73 I was more interested in a bed than wandering around the city. Just an aside. The drivers probably don't know what a turn signal is on a roundabout.

Gemona is beautifully situated near the Italian-Austrian border. Picturesque views of the towering mountain slopes and the beautiful old town with its cathedral at the top provide a friendly atmosphere. The town's recovery from the devastation of the 1976 earthquake is impressive.

We stayed here for one night. For a short stay, it’s quite nice and sufficient. The room was clean and had air conditioning, which was great given the hot weather. It’s fine for one night, but I probably wouldn’t want to stay longer. Breakfast was pretty good by Italian standards—we had scrambled eggs, ham, and a good croissant, along with plenty of other options. A big plus is the large parking area in the hotel courtyard, which is really convenient and spacious. The location of the hotel also suited us well; it was very quiet here.

Staff is excellent, they take care very much about the hotel. Breakfast is more like basic, but it was fine for us. We were travelling by bicycles so they provided for us a safe parking in the bike room free of charge.

Excellent breakfast with a great variety of sweet and savory choices and drinks. The hotel has stairs as well as a lift. Parking is in the yard. The hotel is close to the historical town center.
