The place is truly outstanding. It is as remote as it can get, embedded in nature, high up in the mountains and providing direct access to hiking trails. The food and wine selection is outstanding, breakfast as well. The place is a bit costly but the price is justified by the excellent quality of the food and accomodation.

The hotel was very nice - rooms were spotless, with a refurbished bathroom, well heated and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was perfect - for a fixed price, we received really good dinner (2 courses, salad bar and dissert). The breakfast was sufficient. The ski-room is spacious and have big locked-closet for each room. Overall, we were surprised by the high quality of this hotel. The location is OK - about 25-30 minutes in the local bus to staffal (Monterosa-ski main lift in the valley). Notice the bus was crowded and runs only twice per hour in the morning and afternoon. The bus stop is in-front of the hotel.

The apartment was perfect - clean and decent sized. It had everything we could possibly want. The host Paola was exceptional. Very helpful and always there if we needed any help. I would stay here again in an instant. It is really close to the Weismatten lift and baby snow park. And right next door to XC ski tracks - perfect! There is also a restaurant attached to the property. Gressoney St Jean is just a few mins drive away. Highly recommend.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, met us on arrival and guided us to our parking spot as well as giving us advice on local places to eat during an Italian Bank Holiday. The B&B has been tastefully renovated, preserving its original features whilst providing modern conveniences. As the name suggests one of the owners is an artist and has contributed a lot to the cosy feel and decor. The buffet style breakfast had a good choice and the sitting room a cosy warm atmosphere. The village itself is extremely picturesque and is indeed a hidden gem in this part of Italy.

The style, location, space and most of all the lovely care of the owner. She made us feel very comfortable and any service we requested (especially for the BBQ) was answered with “fire”. The town is a bit far from the most interesting area (Staffal), but with a car, you can easily get around – Gressoney, Staffal, and the starting point for the Monte Rosa trail. The area is peaceful. Several options for excursions into the high mountains and leisurely walks in the lower mountains are available.

The room is very comfortable.

The room is very comfortable. I loved the details; we found the remote control wrapped in cellophane. The bathroom is very clean, and next to the shower there's even a neon light that changes color for chromotherapy. Breakfast is also very well-prepared, with lots of homemade products.

I unfortunately hurt myself on the slope and had to remain in my room on my own for two days while my husband skied. The staff were lovely and left me alone as I had requested without chaging my bed lined, but let me have a late lunch. They were thoughtful and concerned throughout, and let us check out late without extra charge so that my husband could return our ski hire and while I packed our luggage. I can't fault the lovely staff here, or the old world charm of the hotel.
