First of all, location is great - Fertilia is about 10 minutes by car to the historic centre of Alghero, and very close to very good beaches (5 to 10 minutes by car), and it's just so nice and calm. The view from the hotel garden is unbelievable, the photos don't do it justice. We were lucky to be on the garden floor, and we could just walk to the edge of the garden from our room at night to hear the waves, or in the morning to see the view. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable bed, and we felt at home. The staff was super friendly whenever we saw them, but mostly we almost felt like we had the place to ourselves, which was so nice. The best part was the private access to the ocean - it's a little tricky yo get to the water through the rocks, but if you do it, you feel like you are swimming on your own private ocean, there is no one around. A very nice outdoor shower and lounge chairs in the garden made it absolutely perfect.

Beautiful place, looked more basic from the photographs on booking (which we were happy with) and when we arrived found it to be much more special and beautiful attention to detail. Wonderfull staff who took really good care of us and really enhanced our stay.

You get exactly what you see on the website. Beautiful rocky bay, right in front of the hotel, perfect for snorkelling. Amazing view from the room and balcony. The staff was super friendly, the beach/pool and gym facilities are just perfect. It is really easy to access by a rental car. The location is great: only 5-10 min drive to Alghero center, and 10-15 to Neptun's cave, free parking at the hotel. I will choose this hotel again. My room was 267.

Vel Mari was fantastic. Exceptionally clean, the staff went above and beyond. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they placed a bottle of prosecco in the room free of charge for our arrival. Breakfast provided lots of options, the room was very comfortable and with the beach on your doorstep, what more could you ask for?

The hotel is only a 20 minute walk to the old town. The room was very clean and comfortable and the restaurant had a good menu. The pool is huge with loads of room to sit out! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, I can't recommend this hotel enough!

the beachs and the food are amazing, the quality of the service nice and friendly. People do not speak well english, so it was a bit hard to comunicate, however I speak spanish so I found a way to get along with it.

Not very much happening here but it was right for us as we wanted a quiet holiday. Restaurant Il Paguro was a surprise in terms of fish dishes, definitely would have chosen it to the punta negra hotel restaurant where the service was rushed for nothing, late and unpleasant and the spaghetti arrived in clumps (horror).. There is a small supermarket and the bus station is very handy to reach alghero (the tabacchi does not sell tickets so you either go to a small room-transformed-in-shop place to buy the tickets or you download the dropticket up and do it from there (very handy)

The hotel is in a stunning location with beautiful views across the bay. Our son and his wife were married there yesterday evening and the wedding was perfect. Francesco and his staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the wine flowed all night, a great time was had by all the guests. Today we relaxed by the beautiful salt water pool and lunched on the terrace, the perfect end to the weekend. Thank you Francesco and team!

Our room was so beautiful with a wraparound sea view and a balcony. The location was also good, close to Fertilia centre with a handful of restaurants/bars and not too far from the beautiful beaches.
