We stayed in the Arthotel NOT Foresteria il voltone ….we liked the fact that Tatiana, receptionist at the ArtHotel went above and beyond to help us. She organised a room in the ArtHotel on the ground floor where we were happy. The Art hotel is central and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted. We paid for parking in the hotel parking which is 30 m from the hotel.

Central location in Cremona, close to the Cathedral.
Rooms are a good size.
Helpful staff.

Cremona is a fascinating destination, its history is revealed on every corner you walk about. The Cremona cathedral that dates back to the 12th century, the baptistry, and the bell tower are a must visit. You may not want to miss of course the Museo del Violino where you can trace back the history of violin making as it developed in Cremona. If you're hungry for great pizza, go to La Pendola and if for great seafood, Pesciolini Innamorati. In short, you'll want to comeback there many times.

Italy is full of interesting destinations that do not make...
Italy is full of interesting destinations that do not make it to the top of Tripadvisor or Lonely planet, but are still very interesting. Cremona is one of those places. The good news (for travellers) is that the tourist masses will stay away, most people come here because of its history of musical instruments. For me the Torrazzo (the 120m tower in the square) was the more impressive sight. I have been up many towers, this is truly one of the most spectacular ones, and it has a still functioning original astronomical clock, as well as very nice explanations within the tower. The Violin museum will attract most tourists, I think it could have used more traditional exhibits where you can read and learn instead of all the (annoying) multimedia exhibits that do not tell much. The recitals (not every day, check the schedule) are a must see though. It is quite interesting to see a 180-200 year old violin (Vesuvio Stradivarius in our case) taken form the exhibition brought to the hall and hear it played live in front of an audience. And then there is the food. There are excellent restaurants in the area, I can recommend the Ristorante Il Violino (upscale, quite pricey) for example.

It's a very atmospheric town.
It's a very atmospheric town. It was where Stradivari the violin maker lived and I was there for the Stradivari festival, but even during the rest of the year the museum of the violin has recitals on violins from their collection at noon.

An authentically Italian experience in this small city.
An authentically Italian experience in this small city. Prices were amazing, people were friendly and genuine. We loved the restaurants we tried and the numerous cafes. Of course, the violin makers are the highlight of the city and the museum amazing for its collection of Stradivarius and other world famous violins.

Cremona is a beautiful city with such great sightseeings.
Cremona is a beautiful city with such great sightseeings. The three things we loved the most about Cremona were the Main Cathedral and its Torrazzo Tower, Il Museo del Violino (The amazing Museum of Violins) and Hotel Astoria.
Palazzo Glori was a real highlight of this trip to Italy. The Palazzo is a recently renovated beautiful old building, located right next to the centre/high street of Cremona. Excellent parking nearby, beautiful facade, warm welcome, big rooms that are clean, modern in facilities but retain the old world charm of the historic building. Lovely breakfast.
I chose Palazzo Glori as great accommodation for a visit to Cremona, but I would highly recommend a trip to Cremona as a chance to stay at Palazzo Glori!
The accommodation was in the center of Cremona - so supermarket, restaurants, café, bank, markets and shops were less than 5mins walk. Very convenient location. The Cremona train station/bus stop was about 15mins walk from the accommodation. The accommodation had all the utilities we need. It was small but very cozy. Great communication with the host Mariagrazia. Overall experience was phenomenal.
In the heart of Cremona, in a little alley. The allley is busy with 2-3 bars and the hotel restaurant. The windows had triple glazing and noise was eliminated and it is nice to get downstairs for an aperitivo. Staff was great, young people. The people at the breakfast were super ice as well. It is great value for money and Cremona is a magic place anyway!
Lovely flat, clean and with all you need for a short stay. There's a grocery shop 5 minutes away and the centre of Cremona is a 15/20 minutes' walk away. It is in a quiet residential area away from the main street. The owner was very kind offering us a lift from and to the station and giving us lots of information on the town and what to visit.
This is a well=positioned, functional and good value hotel. The staff, especially Signore Carla and Renata did all possible to ensure that our group (3 adults) were accomodated in comfort and offered much-appreciated recommendations for eateries and places of interest.
The hotel is a brisk 20 minutes walk from il centro.
There were no taxis available when we arrived late at Cremona station, so Rita our host's representative came to meet us and carried a heavy bag to the apartment on her bicycle. What a great welcome! The apartment was as described, comfortable, private and quiet. The air conditioning worked well during the heatwave.
The accommodation exceeded my expectations, the breakfast was very rich, the owners were very accommodating and communicated well with us regarding our late arrival. The accommodation is in a quiet environment, within easy reach of the beautiful city of Cremona. Guests must have a car available.
The hotel is in a central location with very easy parking. Very lively and busy area that we enjoyed right outside the hotel. Closing the windows keeps the noise outside, or open them and enjoy the life of this city. Breakfast was adequate. Staff is friendly.
Great location with paid parking nearby and free parking within walking distance. Easy to walk around central Cremona from the apartment. Comfortable building with elevator, and comfortable apartment with air conditioning for those hot summer days.
The staff was more than friendly, always ready to assist, keeping the room clean and tidy. The location is fantastic, 10 minutes walk to the center of Cremona. Perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Lombardy around.
Easy to get there, easy to park, one can have garage
Across the street historic Cremona
Nice host, apartment very well kept, big living room and kitchen area
A good glimpse of an Italy of some years ago
Perfect location right in the city centre of Cremona, the apartment was top class, nice furniture, well equipped
and spotless clean. Good value for money. Easy to communicate with the property owner
Wonderful hotel in great location! Staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. You walk outside and are at the Duomo - pretty spectacular!
