Amazing views and fantastic service. The location can't be beat! We were able to reserve a parking spot, which was only 5 euros for the one night, but if we didn't have parking it may have been tricky to get to. But once there it's super easy to walk around town.

Dear Julia, We can't express enough how delighted and satisfied we are with our stay in the apartment you rented to us in Castro, Italy. We had an unforgettable week, from August 26th to September 3rd, 2023, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and pampered. The apartment was a delightful surprise, far surpassing our expectations from the photos. It is tastefully decorated and has a cozy atmosphere that made us feel at home right away. There was nothing lacking in this apartment, from the washing machine to the dishwasher, from the coffee machine to the refrigerator, and much more. Your kindness was also evident in the small details, like finding olive oil, coffee, cookies, and a bottle of water upon our arrival. These personal touches made our stay even more special. We particularly adored the terrace with the morning sun, where we spent our breakfasts and lunches. Additionally, the assistance you provided in obtaining the resident parking permit was greatly appreciated and made our experience even more convenient. Your generous guidance on places to visit and things to do in the area enriched our vacation. Thanks to your recommendations, we discovered wonderful places that we might have otherwise overlooked. The location of the apartment is simply perfect, just a few minutes from the nearest beach and a short 10-15 minute walk to the historic center. Castro is a charming place, and your apartment made our visit to this beautiful town even more special. All in all, we can't recommend your apartment and the town of Castro enough. The apartment is absolutely fantastic. It meets all the needs a family of four might have (I traveled with my family). The rooms are comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped. The apartment also offers two terraces, one of which is a secluded space at the back of the house—perfect for enjoying meals, stargazing at night, or simply taking a cooling shower during the day. The front terrace, on the other hand, offers a breathtaking view of the sea. It’s truly magical, especially with a cup of Italian iced coffee or a glass of chilled red wine (both of which are delightful in Salento). All in all, I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is. Highly recommended to everyone!

Castro is a beautiful town, divided into 2 parts, hill top...

Castro is a beautiful town, divided into 2 parts, hill top old town , 10 -15 minutes ( steep) walk to the sea. The old town is fabulous , very small and choice of good places to eat. We were happy we chose to stay in the old town as it had more atmosphere. The port is stunning, so many places to swim, no beach but lots of rocks to swim from and little stairs to get in and out of the water. You can rent umbrellas and sun beds down by the harbor, we had to as it was mid thirties temp when we were there in late July. If you have your own umbrellas it might be tricky to put them up as it is all rocks, no sand. It’s a little jewel if a town, mostly Italian locals and tourists. You won’t regret your visit!

It is a lovely village we were lucky enough to stay while it was still quiet Like all seaside villages in Summer holidays I would imagine it would get very busy but I’m so happy to have spent time there

The stay was wonderful close to everything. Very nice area. The host was terrific and very informative about the area and town. Very help with tips and eating accommodations. Clean and great ocean view. Very good breakfast.Would highly recommend accommodation.

We felt very welcomed. The host treated us like we knew each other many years. He even explained us where to find the best spots in Castro. The breakfast was good, his wife organized everything. We could park our car right in front of the apartment, which was a plus. We could walk to the main attractions. Only the beach is a bit more far from this hotel. But the shared balcony had a nice view from he ocean. The hosts were living close by so you could always write them, if there would be a problem. We can recommend this hotel!

Hotel La Roccia is located right in the Marina and on the waterfront. Older style hotel with a few modern additions. Excellent location and views with access to beach chairs/beach club. Room was very spacious and quite basic but good value for money. Staff were always helpful. Walking distance to great swimming spots, cafes and restaurants. You walk to the old hill top town in about 20 minutes or take the tourist train for the uphill walk.

Ok, this is the only one hotel in the centre of Castro Marina, near the "piazzetta". It has so much potential. Rooms are spotless clean and are very nice although a bit small (the building is probably from the 1940's so there's nothing you can do about it). A few steps and you are in the middle of the village, with everything it has to offer. Position is unbeatable.

Loverly and accommodating staff, the room was clean and comfortable as the hotel was recently renovated and breakfast was good. Easy walking distance to the sea and Oldtown.
