Case Di Latomie is perfection! It’s so peaceful, set in an olive farm with a beautiful swimming pool, outdoor areas, breakfast room and separate restaurant. The staff there were so incredibly welcoming, warm and helpful. We loved chatting to them and they were amazing with our young boys. The rooms are spacious and really clean, and our bed was so comfortable. Breakfast is delicious! If you’re looking for a tranquil break that’s also close to things to do and larger towns, this is the place for you. The beach is only a few minutes’ drive away, and there’s an amazing archaeological site with the most incredible temple only 10 minutes away - definitely worth seeing! Such a great and welcoming place - I wholeheartedly recommend.

Very good location, close to the autostrada and big shopping centres and the road to Selinunte temples. Walking distance to Chiesa San Domenico, don't miss this, and the small archeological museum with the Efebo statue namesake. The apartment was comfortable and spacious for two people, an adequate kitchen for preparation of light meals, including a coffee maker, juice squeezer and kettle .The bedroom is comfortable and spacious, with a good bathroom included towel warmer. Good WiFi with several charging points. Friendly Bar Garibaldi next to entrance, nice panetteria and pasticceria just past the arches, the best Cannoli, a small Co-op market and big fruit and vegetable stand. Huge Conad supermercato nearby at the shopping centre.Giuseppe recommended the Pierrot in Città restaurant, a few minutes drive, or 10 minute walk, we highly recommend, grilled fresh fish and meat on open stove plus pizza oven.

The place itself is lovely.

The place itself is lovely. Rooms full of character. pool and gardens are top class. The only negative was the cool welcome we got from the guy (owner?) when we arrived and the complete lack of communication about evening meals or any refreshments available during the day. The venue is in a beautiful rural setting but as there’s no fridge in the room it would be useful to know whether any food or drink was available. This could have been a language barrier issue but easily remedied with an information sheet. The menu was not that clear what was on offer and the staff didn’t really know what the English version was - our fault, not theirs. Don’t be put off about staying here - just be prepared to use google translate if you don’t speak the lingo.

The town was a surprise as we discovered the parish church...

The town was a surprise as we discovered the parish church with its frescoes and lovely interior but - more importantly - the church of St Dominic with its stunning and impressive sculptured interior. Definitely well-worth visiting. Only 15 minutes drive away is the archaeological park of Selinunte with its layers of history unfolding before ones eyes.

Our stay was a great success, as we visited the excavations in Selinunte. In Castelvetrano, however, all the important churches and the Civic Museum were closed. Oddly enough, none of these sites had posted opening hours.

The village is a good base for visiting Selinunte, Agrigento...

The village is a good base for visiting Selinunte, Agrigento, or Mazara del Vallo. In Castelvetrano, the small "Sistine Chapel" of the Church of San Domenico is well worth a visit. The village is easy to get around, with little traffic.

A strategic location for visiting one of Europe's largest...

A strategic location for visiting one of Europe's largest archaeological parks, Selinunte, very close to Gibellina, where you can visit the astonishing Cretto di Burri. There are numerous wineries to visit and countless churches, each more beautiful than the last. It's just a 15-minute drive from the sea, where there are still pristine beaches. I wouldn't leave out the food, which is superb.

We preferred the archaeological site of Selinunte to...

We preferred the archaeological site of Selinunte to Agrigento because you're surrounded by nature, with a wealth of flowers in the spring. It's nice that you can walk a bit further, but there's also a small train for the less energetic. Plus, you have a view of the sea.

It was simply perfect. I am traveling a lot for work and have been to many nice hotels. However, never ever have we felt as "home" as here. Super calm, spacious, clean, perfectly equipped, the garden & view are stunning. It is exactly as they call it: a luxurious villa in a very traditional style. Photos are super accurate, the hosts are super friendly and responsive, recommend 10/10.

Excellent location in a typical Little sicilan village near the beach and selinunte temple . The house had everything we needed with a nice pool, spa, bbq and a wonderful terrasse . Valerio is a wonderful host. If we come back in Sicily We Will come back
