Wonderful peaceful place, located in the countryside, in a beautiful Natural Reserve, extremely remote but yet still close to some very nice Sicilian points of interest, like Noto & Syracuse, cities that are known for their beauty and baroque architecture. We particularly liked the traditionally decorated rooms, in old Sicilian farm style. We stayed in a triple family room, which had and extra single bed for our child. Beds are very high, higher than we’ve ever seen before, which was a challenge for our 3 yrs old child.

Very quiet and peaceful place, easy to find and easy to get around by car. Lovely pool, excellent food, lots of parking, very good AC system, very good water pressure in the large shower. Communication with the host was easy and efficient and we were made to feel very much at home!

The location is very peaceful, surrounded by stonewalls. The rooms were a good size and well finished, with comfortable beds. Our room had a lovely courtyard and we had the use of a kitchen. The breakfasts were amazing with freshly cooked Sicilian cakes and fresh fruit. We also had dinner there three times. The host, Ivana, was so accommodating, making us exactly what we asked for, including food for our daughter. She was also happy to give us advice about where to visit and where to eat. A fabulous place to stay that I would recommend to anyone, especially cat-lovers!

Casale Micale is a wonderful place to stay if you’re planning on exploring the eastern side of Sicily. The location is great if you’re travelling by car, close to beautiful city of Noto, but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and silent evenings. The building itself is newly restored and designed with a really good taste. We had a beautiful room with stone walls and a view of a garden and the sea in the distance. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfasts under the olive tree, with a vast choice of sweet and savoury products. Salvatore with his family were friendly and helpful as well, open to our suggestions on the breakfast time. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

The family was very welcoming and helpful. The daughter spoke very good English, which helped overcome our almost non existant Italian.The facilities and rooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with an outdoor bbq if required. The aircon was really cool. There was a lounge with a TV and Netflix. Outside, there was a large private patio with dining tables and an area with swinging chairs sheltered from the sun and overlooking the carrubbo, olive, and fig trees. Very quiet at night. And the local town has several good eating places which don't open until around 7.30 but rapidly fill up when they do. The family has a restaurant and gelateria down at the coast. The ice cream is genuinely wonderful, I have had a lot of Italian ice cream, and this ranks in the top 3. It is a good base to see Modica, Ragusa, and Notto. But we just enjoyed being there for a few days as well.

We have just had the most amazing 5 night stay at this beautiful property. It provided a unique sense of calm and tranquility in the Sicilian countryside. The grounds and pool were fabulous but what really made our stay so memorable was the warmth of the hosts. Each morning we couldn’t wait to have breakfast which was so carefully and meticulously prepared and presented by Daniela. She baked some truly delightful treats including a sweet onion whirl, omelette and a broccoli pastry. Moreover Daniela prepared gluten free dishes and cakes for my husband including an almond cake which were truly exceptional. We will never forget our wonderful time at Tenuta Aguglia and we would like to send our thanks to our kind and welcoming hosts.
