We spent 9 nights here and I can just say - this hotel is a real gem . It has perfect position in a port on the quieter side, the view from the terrace is beautiful, we enjoyed here our breakfast and evening Prosecco. The port is very lively place with many restaurants and so is the upper town- very lovely, ideal for staying in and travelling around west Sicily. The stuff is very kind and effective- the best I had ever met… and I mean every single person there, Nicola was the best, he even arranged private boat trip for us when everything was closed yet. Rooms are nicely decorated- Italian classic. We had room with partial sea view, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning- it was more private than the ones with direct sea view. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who doesn’t need pool or 5 stars for vacation

Marina di Petrolo Hotel provides it’s guest with a wonderful experience from the moment you step foot in reception. Staff are helpful, friendly and kind. The rooms are clean, comfortable with excellent amenities. Our room had the most beautiful view which we loved waking up to each morning. The location is excellent with plenty of things to do both at the hotel and in the nearby towns. The breakfast selection each morning was delicious and the staff were so incredibly lovely and helpful. A truly beautiful location and currently my favourite hotel I’ve stayed at, I can’t wait to return in the future.

Breakfast vast and delicious. they kept the restaurant open to feed us after lunch, despite being about to close. After a harassed airport (london) experience and early travel this was a godsend. All staff so lovely, friendly but not intrusive. Resort an absolute delight. Quiet, peaceful. Clean. You really need a car here though. Places aren't accessible on foot and public transport minimal.

Such a beautiful hotel with phenomenal views! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome, and we arranged an early check-in with no problems due to our flight time. The room was clean and comfortable with generous outdoor space and effective air conditioning. The infinity pool was gorgeous, and we often had the area to ourselves during our September stay. We found our stay incredibly relaxing. We were happy with the breakfast options available - fresh pastries and cakes, at least 2 types of bread, cheese, ham and eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, and tea. Just across the road from the hotel, there's a decent restaurant/pizzeria as well as an excellent food truck serving paninis, street food, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which you can enjoy while making the most of the fabulous views from the Belvedere viewpoint or nearby picnic area. We used the footpath just near the viewpoint to walk to and from the town centre during daytime hours. However, if you're not particularly confident with negotiating unpaved paths, this might not be for you! We wouldn't recommend walking on the main road into town due to traffic. In the evenings when we wanted to enjoy the many restaurants and bars in Castellammare del Golfo, we prebooked taxis using the online booking form at https://www.taxicastellammare.it We'd love to return in the future!
