The appartement Casa Vacanze Ca' di Lucchini in the tiny village of San Benedetto is a genuine gem. In the family owned house from late 19 th century, Stefano and his family have refurbished the appartement to tip-top modern standard We felt at home imidiately. On our arrival we were very well received in a personal and friendly manner by the host, Stefano, and his grandson. All though he was short of english and we only knew a handful of Italian words, we managed to communicate very well. During the stay we also spoke to his wife and brother - all of them lovely and warm people. The appartement has a personal touch, and is beauitiful decorated with a mix of mordern art, cozy decoration and old antique furniture. It has enough space for a family, and it was spotless clean and very well equipped for a long stay. The beds were very good, and gave us good nights sleep. And to top it of, the value for money is outstanding. The village is some 15 minutes drive off the A1 from Fiernze to Bologna, but its more that worth a detour if you are looking for a stop over, or want a base for exploring the area. Highly recommended.

Unforgettable hospitality and a magical atmosphere – we will be back! My 8-year-old son and I stayed at this wonderful farm from June 8th to 12th, and it was simply an unforgettable experience! Traveling by train, we were incredibly touched by the care of our hosts. The hosts, Titti and Willy, are people with huge hearts! From the very first moment, we felt their incredible kindness and attentiveness. They were a great help in getting us to the Rocchetta Mattei castle, which was the main goal of our trip, and for that, a special huge thank you to them! What can be said about the house itself? It's simply a fairytale! Incredibly beautiful, authentic, with a long history, it is decorated with such love and taste that literally every corner breathes the care and hard work of its owners. Impeccable cleanliness and order. The entire house is adorned with paintings and photographs of horses – the main passion of Titti and Willy. And there are also two charming dogs living here: the incredibly friendly Olympia and Olivia with her own character, as well as four lovely cats who added to the coziness of our stay. On the farm grounds, there are stables with thoroughbred horses from Mongolia and Switzerland (the true pride of the hosts!) and chickens, which provide the freshest eggs for breakfast. The breakfasts were delightful: the freshest farm eggs, aromatic coffee and tea, delicious Italian meat delicacies and cheeses, as well as a large selection of sweets for every taste, fresh fruit, and juice. My son was thrilled! The nature around the farm is a separate pleasure! Incredible views of the valley, the purest air that invigorates you, and birds that sing practically around the clock – a true balm for the soul. Titti and Willy treated us not just as guests, but like family; they were always ready to help and offer advice.
