Maria and her team were amazing hosts. We were a big group (this was a family get-together) and they were always willing to help in any way they could - they definitely went the extra mile to accommodate our many varied requests, and always with a smile! The rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast is delicious and plentiful!! A perfect way to start the day. La Bussola is a couple of kms away from the beach but they willingly transported us back and forth as needed. We would definitely return! Thank you Maria and team for an absolutely wonderful stay!

We stayed here 5 nights and it was the best 5 days of our holiday! The hotel has its private beach and the sea is amazing! The kids also enjoyed the swimming pool. From every angle of the resort you can see the spectacular sea view and Stromboli island. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. Definitely we will be back next year!

great sea for snorkeling but sometimes jellyfish on Grotticelle beach (very painful for kids) - in Tropea no jellyfish and calm sea all the times. in summer has the area problems with water supply - before check-in ask the owner of the property of the state of water in the tanks (we had bad luck in July, our apartment ran out of water twice a week - very stressful) the beaches of Capo Vaticano are available by car (parking is for 1,50 Eur/hour) or on foot 20min walk downhill (but up the hill in hot weather is guite a challenge) snorkeling in this sea is like in an aquarium :-)

The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The wifi and speed was amazing. The food was good. The breakfast was not entirely free as the website suggests. The lunch buffet was delicious and loved the female bartender at the snack shack by the pool who helped us. The hotel was not a 4 star as it states and the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is poor and run down, not safe to walk around at night. There is no iron available for hotel guests. The hotel pool needs to be fixed and maintained. The tiles are missing throughout the pool and the pool has algae growing on the side tiles. The beach made up for the pool. We had to buy towels as the hotel did not supply towels for pool/beach, 10 Euros a towel at the local market. The ocean floor is rocky and slimy and its very difficult to get in. We were not prepared to deal with the rockiness of the beach and needed to buy water shoes.

The hotel has a very nice location and the pool was well-maintained. The staff was very friendly. The food was tasty, although not everything on the menu was available (end of season!). The mattresses should be replaced! Rooms 36 and 35 need to be renovated, as they smelled musty. Despite all this, we had a lovely time and would come back.

Great view while having coffee near the lighthouse. Plenty of sunshine and pleasantly warm during the second week of October. Poor infrastructure. A backlog of public repairs seems to be in place. No pedestrian or cycle paths. Not suitable for people with disabilities. Lots of litter in public spaces. Even on the beach... plastic waste everywhere you look!

Outside of peak season, it was very quiet.

Outside of peak season, it was very quiet. Because it turned out to be primarily a tourist village, it was rather deserted. Capo Vaticano itself lacks much atmosphere. Pizzo, Scilla, or Tropea are more attractive places.

The beaches are all beautiful, well-maintained, and almost all have free and private areas. The sea is splendid, clear, and the water temperature is excellent, both inside and outside. The second half of September is a great time to visit: fewer people, lower prices, and a mild climate. I enjoyed the three beaches in Grotticelle, including Tono, and I recommend visiting the others as well.

The location was incredible on top of a headland overlooking the coast and Capo Vaticano. The view from the room was incredible and also a great view from the pool and restaurant. The hotel has a beautiful private beach and also a pool. Breakfast was very nice and the food and the restaurant is good. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay somewhere relaxing and away from large crowds of tourists.

It did not feel like a resort but rather a sprawling boutique hotel with every amenity you can desire. In addition, the service levels was extraordinary, always a yes to any request, promptly covered and with smiles all around.

Fabulous homemade cakes served at breakfast every morning. Fresh fruits from local sources. Very clean in the hotel and garden. Very clean pool. The bathroom was cleaned daily, and so was the room.
