The place is absolutely perfect! Everything was beautiful and clean, and the entire resort is so big and full of facilities that we didn't feel the need to even travel outside. The staff was very nice and attended to everything we needed. They made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel. I highly recommend it!! The best stay we ever had!

We stayed here for two nights. The checking-in process was fast as it worked online before our arrival. By the time we arrived, the lobby staff had already left, but we received all the necessary information via a WhatsApp message, and the key was left in the lobby. Our room was spotless, charming and stylish, and had a fantastic land view. The beds and the pillows were really comfortable. The pool and its area were also OK. Parking was included in the price, and upon arrival, we also received a remote control for the car park gate. The breakfast satisfied all of our needs in variety and quality and was served by a lovely old but very fit lady called Monica. We met every morning and got into a conversation very quickly. Monica warmly welcomed us and kept her eyes on what to bring and how to pamper our needs or favour while smiling and singing quietly. The pies served were her homemade pies and were really very delicious. She introduced the view we had from the breakfast area. She also talked about herself and how she sees the world, her art pieces exhibited in the breakfast area. Monica is definitely the heart of the place, and we felt she was like our lovely grandmother. At first, we supposed that Vetulonia was a tiny place, even smaller than a village, just some houses, and there was nothing to do there at all. But we found a community here. There is a pub in the village centre where all the local people come together, talk and have fun in the evenings on the main street; in the village, there is a restaurant, a museum and churches, as well. There are even festivals in the village. This place is the island of tranquillity, and if you are curious about the real life of rural Italian people, just come here and look.

We loved the location of this property. It is so very quiet and peaceful. We went on a lovely walk through vineyards and olive trees and saw loads of wild boar and their offspring. The restaurant was nice with good food and good value. Our room was very spacious and clean with a rustic feel.

Fantastic resort where we've stayed in a large apartment made for 4 people over two level. Receptionist staff was great, letting us checked-in well in advance and called us immediately after booking was made. Amenities, cleanliness and breakfast were top quality with a very good price in this cottage in a remote area of Ruscany surrounding by olive trees and roosters ... we loved every bit of our stay and will come again soon

Very friendly host, though arriving late after dark. Good finding out that he had recently visited our residential city in Scotland. Luckily for us, he was fluent in conversation in English, as we didn't know any Italian. Free parking in front of property. Nice garden surrounding.

it was such a wonderful stay! Paola was a wonderful host. We had a nice breakfast every morning and loved riding the bike to the beach (only 10 minutes through a beautiful pine forest). Paola even gave us some muffins and fresh strawberrys to take with. The cute appartment had it‘s own little garden. Besides that il fortanile was very beautiful itself with a nice view looking at the mountains and cute turtles. We had a lovely stay.

Nice clean private room in the countryside. You can use fridge, coffee machine, kitchen utensils. Very tasty breakfast. We had just a sleepover but I can imagine staying here for few more days and explore Tuscany :-) Really nice staff but they don't speak English, we don't speak Italian so the communication was kept via translator and by hands :-)
