The place is located near to the seaside about 10 min drive . The rooms were pretty clean and they had all the thing we needed . The breakfast was very good and freshly baked every morning . The view and atmosphere were great and perfect for a quiet getaway. Overall it was a great experience and if I would go again in that area would definitely stay there again. The owner, Rocco he was very friendly and attentive with us. He helped us with information and even offered us discount when we ate at the restaurant.

We stayed at Hotel Cavaliere in Scario, in the province of Salerno, located in the beautiful Gulf of Policastro, right in the heart of the Cilento National Park. A truly enchanting location, surrounded by nature and just a short walk from the sea. The hotel offers a private beach only 150 meters away, easily reachable on foot. The rooms are comfortable, harmonious, and impeccably clean, with great attention to detail. The buffet breakfast is well-prepared and generous — you’re spoiled for choice. We had both lunch and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, where we enjoyed local dishes, featuring fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables, all deliciously prepared. On Wednesday evening, we had a very special experience: while dining, we enjoyed live traditional Cilento music, performed with handcrafted local instruments. It was a beautiful and authentic moment! Just a short walk from the hotel, the tourist marina offers several private operators who organize both individual and group boat excursions, perfect for exploring the coastline and discovering the natural wonders of Cilento from the sea. We highly recommend Hotel Cavaliere to anyone looking for relaxation, nature, great food, and local traditions.

Antonio the host was so attentive to your needs and was really helpful, went over and above to make you feel comfortable, breakfast was lovely and it was only a short distance to Main Street with shops and restaurants.

We spent over a week on the Cilento Coast.

We spent over a week on the Cilento Coast. This was by far my favorite spot. The little coastal towns nearby can be hot in the summer. It's better to stay up in the hills in towns like Bosco, it's cooler in the summer heat and is much more beautiful and quiet. And it's only a 15 minute drive down to the nearest beach town that is quite cute. I'd happily go back in the Fall or Spring and do more hiking in the nearby parks. The town of Bosco is small and charming. We walked all around Bosco and there are beautiful views up to the mountains and down the coast at every angle. There is a small museum on the Spanish painter Jose Ortega who lived in the village. There is a local restaurant a short walk away and a very good place to eat in the next little town. I loved just sitting in the hammock in the old olive grove on the property in Pie d'Ulivo, reading a book and checking out the view. It was nice to relax over breakfast, talk to the other guests and compare notes on what we were doing with our days.
