The hotel has a great view over the lake.
Breakfast was nice as was the food in the restaurant, it was good but not amazing as a lot of the other posts have suggested.
Location is ok, as mentioned it has a great view. Downside is the 30 minute walk from town and the fact that it is on a very busy road. There aren’t many walking trails and the hotel didn’t have any information on local walks, local tours and the like.
Set directly on Lake Maggiore, Villa Paradiso has free Wi-Fi with rooms in a 19th-century house surrounded by extensive parkland. It offers a lake-view restaurant and a seasonal outdoor pool.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Irene in the breakfast room was the most efficient and happy woman we've come across in many a year, always pleasant and quick - even when things didn't go smoothly. The room was good value for money and the bathroom was large.

Staff, Cleanliness, Comfort, Value For Money, Location - all 10/10;
Marco the Bar Man with the red watch strap is particularly helpful;
Could fairly be described as 'Cheap and Cheerful' but in reality it is actually so much better than that!
Decor of the bathrooms from the 1970's but a great modern shower and cubicle;
Nice pizza restaurant on the mezzanine floor across the car park by the train station (look for the bright green lighting);
I would definitely stay here again if re-visiting Arona;
Has this quirky sort of Twin Peaks (the tv show) vibe about it, which is part of its charm;
Located in a quiet street, just 150 metres from Lake Maggiore and near the centre, Hotel Spagna offers the perfect base for exploring the historic city of Arona. All rooms are en suite.

This is a lovely apartment in a very sweet location.
We loved being able to park the car in the closed courtyard and felt very secure
The quirkiness of the fixtured and fittings was fun and not over the top.

Amazing hosts, very informative, friendly and helpful in booking a taxi too, we were allowed to go into the accommodation earlier which was very useful, accommodation was spacious, clean with a generous sized balcony, beautiful views.The apartment had everything we needed, fruit and water on arrival too. It was all the personal touches by the host that made our stay so perfect.

We really enjoyed walking on the lakefront, though the mosquitoes (naturally) seem to love that area too. Be sure to pack repellent spray because they're pretty insistent. The outdoor market by the boat terminal was a pretty nice way to spend half an hour. On our second (and last evening), as we were walking from the city center to our hotel (by the train station) we stumbled upon an outdoor cinema which was pretty cool. One of our favorite places to eat on that particular trip was at Giulietta al Lago. The food was good, we had a table right by the lake (so we were "visited" by swans who got like 2m away from us), and the music was non-stop 80s hits which put me in the absolute best mood.

Arona is a lovely town on the South West shore of Lago Maggiore, just a nice size with plenty of restaurants and bars, many with lake views. A great location to spend a few days or longer in the region.

I had been there a few years ago and it was full of artist and artisan shops. This time is was very commercial, which for me, was disappointing The town is still beautiful by the lake and has a great piazza with entertainment.

We had two days here in February.
We had two days here in February. We really enjoyed it and would visit again. It was fairly quiet which was good. It looked like it could be very busy mid-summer. The full cruise ferries were not working but the shuttle ferry to Angera was still open. We used the train to travel further north where there were other ferries to catch. Would have liked to spend a few more days in and around Arona.

Arona was a perfect destination for a short break.
Arona was a perfect destination for a short break. Just 45 minutes from Milan Malpensa, at the foot of Lake Maggiore. The old town was very pretty with good shops and great choices of affordable restaurants - we like ristorante da Aldo and L'Anticogallo. There is lots to do in the area including bike hire (we cycled up to the national park nearby) and boat trips to neighbouring lakeside towns and islands.
Although a car is helpful we found the buses and trains were good.

I was there only for a business meeting, but the short time I stayed made me fall in love with the town, the scenery and especially the people. I will surely come back one day with my family for a longer stay this region deserves.
this was a super clean and modern vacation apartment with good appliances and well stocked with dishes, cooking pans,etc. Very spacious. Alex was extremely responsive and helpful. This is a little far from the central area of Arona and the lake, but only about a 15 minute walk. there was covered safe parking. they provided umbrellas, a nice thoughtful touch. our unit was two levels with bedroom upstairs and kitchen, table, couch and TV down. great for a longer stay.
This was the outstanding property of our 4 weeks of travel. Location couldn’t be bettered and the attention to detail in the property was exceptional. The quality of all the fittings, furniture and provisions was top level. The air conditioning in an extreme summer heat was brilliant. Our hosts gave us the best tips to ensure Arona and other sites on Lake Maggiore have left us with the best memories!
Wow! Nathalie has created such a beautiful space for guests right in the heart of Arona. The apartment is located on the ground floor of a stately converted villa. It is fitted with gorgeous finishes and the outdoor garden is much larger and more charming than the pictures show – perfect for a morning coffee. All in all, a wonderful stay! We can't wait to return in the summer.
The accommodation has to be one of the best places in Arona. The room we stayed in has views of the piazza and the lake, giving a unique experience.
We could feel that the host loves what she does and wants to transmit the best experience possible about the accommodation.
It's a must-return.
Great central location in the relaxed lakeside town of Arona.
Very comfortable, clean and well designed layout. In our opinion good value.
Unusual venue but works really well.
The team behind Little Square were excellent at communicating before during and after our stay.
Location was great right in the centre of Arona and close to the lake, shops and restaurants. The host was really helpful and kindly left us an Easter egg and chocolates (it was just before Easter). They responded very quickly to me with any queries with WhatsApp.
Hostess was delightful and the apartment was uniquely designed and absolutely beautuful. Arona was unexpectedly a warm and welcoming place for us one night tourists, and a convenient stay just 40 minutes from MXP, where we were flying home early the next morning.
Carla is one of the most kind persons that we have ever met. We got delayed by 4 hours arriving as the taxis went on strike and we we had to find another way to get to Arona. She was kind and waited for us to arrive. Love the location as well,
The room was clean and comfortable and a nice size. The shower was the best I have seen in a European hotel. And the views… absolutely amazing. The breakfast was also tasty and easy with the spectacular views. Free parking was super convenient.
Used this hotel to as a place to stay for just one night, on our way to our final destination. Location is great, but the hotel lacks attention and is somewhat outdated, the latter is nearly an understatement
The location was idyllic, the apartment was beautifully done and very clean with amazing views of the lake.Very quiet at night even though the apartment is located in the main piazza of Arona.
Nice room with partial lake view, our friends were given a lower floor room with almost no partial lake view. The breakfast in the hotel is excellent, and the staff extremely helpful.
Everything was perfect in this traditional family hotel.
The food in the restaurant was amazing.The facilitates were the same and even more than 4 stars hotel
