I had a really great experience staying at LOCANDA SANTAMARINA. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was excellent, only a few minutes from the Central Bus & Train stations in Palermo. It was in a perfect location for exploring the city. The rooms are all on the 5th floor of a building which seem to be shared with other apartments/offices and can only be accessed by ringing the bell and being 'buzzed in', but we never had to wait very long for this to happen. Our room was large, with very high ceilings. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Traffic noise could be loud at times, but only if the windows were open. As others have said, the area could be described as 'run down', but I never felt anxious about walking to or from the accommodation at any time of the day or night. The staff were very friendly and the continental breakfast was brought to our room every morning, even a bit earlier on the day we were leaving earlier to go on a day trip. The room we were assigned was listed as having a 'shared bathroom and shower room', however don't let this put you off booking as I suspect we were the only people who used these facilities, which were kept spotlessly clean at all times. There was a sink in the room, which meant we could wash/brush teeth/etc without having to use the 'shared facilities'. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, or in staying here again. It is perfect for those looking for inexpensive accommodation while exploring Palermo.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in Palermo and was thoroughly impressed. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city with stunning views that truly enhance the experience. The entire property has been beautifully renovated, offering an elegant and warm atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally professional, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. One of my favorite features was the jacuzzi on the terrace - it’s an amazing spot to relax and take in the breathtaking cityscape. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Palermo and will definitely come back for my next trip.
